I may not look like it, but the one style I can actually do is pokemon style.

To be quite honest, and I'm trying not to make this sound braggy, but I'm probably the best person in this whole forum at pokemon style. Anyway though, back to my previous statement about using the pokemon palette. Your palette is the colors that you use, so what I meant by that is use colors that are actually used in the game. For example, I'll take your mockup in your sig and show you what I'm talking about.

Yours is on the left. Mine is on the right.

Look at how much better mine is, and all I basically did was change the colors. (And fix May's shading.)

Notice that I used the actual colors used in the game to recolor May and "Stingrasa". The blue from may is the walrus pokemon (I don't remember names) and Stingrasa is recolored with the shell thing's colors. The text box has been fixed as well.

Here's the thing though: all I did was fix the colors. I haven't even gotten to the actual stingrasa sprite itself, yet the entire thing looks so much better. As for stingrasa, do it over. Not only can I not tell any bodily features (aside from the eyes), the lines are sloppy and the shading is wrong.

In the Pokemon spriting style, all pokemon are 64x64 in the R/S/E and lower generations. As for D/P/P, I think the maximumsize is 80x80 but I'm not entirely sure. The light source is ALWAYS in the upper left corner of the sprite. It's also always facing to the left. Use those guidelines to make a new sprite. Use existing pokemon, such as mantine, for refrences since you're doing a stingray.

I can think of at least 3, including Jarjar, and JoshR, who are tons better than you. Btw, there's more than one pokemon style.

I'm talking the actual RPG game style. Also how can you say they're better than me when you've never seen any of my work? :p

As for king metroid's question, yes I did, but I've also done a few customs as well.

Well, for starters, this topic isn't about the RPG style.
And you can't call your self the best at the style if you've never showcased your work of it. That's jsut ridiculous.

It is the rpg style. Or at leas the in-battle part of it.

Again rakia, I only said that because I haven't seen anyone else doing it so I just assumed I was the only one. I know JarJar does pokemon by he did the isometric stuff, not in-battle.

Pokemon style is separated into two categories.
Overworld, and In-Battle.
This is In-Battle, the "RPG" style is considered the Overworld.
