Gotcha Force model ripping, Help required.

Question
Hi, I have been attempting to rip models from Gotcha Force for about a year and have had no luck with doing so.

http://prntscr.com/qvabng

The furthest I have gotten was extracting the files from afs_data.afs which included .arz, .arc, .tpl, .bin and .pzz files.
I have tried opening/extracting these .arc and .pzz files with every single program I have found that could possibly open these files and nothing ever worked.

http://prntscr.com/qvac91

Has anyone had any sort of experience with ripping from this game, or perhaps have any idea on how to retrieve this game's models?

Other notes:
  • noesis can't open the .arc files
  • ARCtool can't open the .arc files
  • any program that can open compressed files (Programs like WinRAR) cant open the .arc files
  • Poser can't open the .pzz files
  • Daz3D can't open the .pzz files
  • Assuming that the .pzz and the .arc files ARE the models, There is no such working way of importing the models to blender.
  • 3DXRipper and NinjaRipper do work, but the results are pretty broken. The models ripped from NinjaRipper are deformed, broken and don't even have rigs for characters. 3DXRipper does rip the models well but character models won't have their rigs. As an act of desperation, I had to fix up the models and re-rig them which came out decent but wonky.
Please help. Many thanks.

Question
Hi, I too am trying to extract models from Gotcha Force. I tested Dolphin: nothing and then 3D Ripper DX: it looks complex.

I'm looking at other possibilities, like: Ninja Ripper: looks like the other one and N64 Mapping Tool: no guarantee.

There's a lot of links and videos to extract.

Then I came across this program: http://info.sonicretro.org/Generations_Archive_Editor

I don't know if this is the right program to address this concern?

I thought I had a lead, but no.

It's not like we have to convert:

afs_data.afs

apploader.img

boot.dol

opening.bnr

poq_adx_usa.afs

In Zip folder to consult them or try to read their format.

Otherwise you'll have to play to unlock all the characters. Then go to multiplayer and use 3D Ripper XD. By finalizing it on Blender or open the .raw (or .gcp) of the savegame.

But it's just a theory like any other.

Hi again, I tried NinjaRipper by playing in the challenge mode of the game. I was able to get the textures with Noesis, but not the models so far.

I followed the instructions in this video:

I don't own 3DS Max and don't know how to put the other formats on Blender.

I managed to get a 3D image, following the indications of this link: https://www.deviantart.com/xcurtainx/jou...-753410159

But to get the characters, you have to assemble the pieces and probably modify them.

Hi, my team work on reversing files of gotcha force. For the files you are finding, some of them are archives or 3D models. PZZ are archive can contains compressed or not compressed data files such as .tpl or other formats. Please take a look here : https://github.com/Virtual-World-RE/NeoGF
