You're probably right. Though I find it hard to believe that recently banned members would bother with something like that.

What I underestimate is that if they're going to be petty, then why not just go all out and satirize every aspect of the site itself. After situations happen like say the Dancer's Resource incident at least the members behind that were creative in their pettiness and that made it somewhat entertaining.

Because this isn't about being petty or getting revenge. Most often, it's about members being banned for frequent rule violations, especially constantly requesting, and then go off to make their own hoping others will provide the content. That's why there are tons of pages that describe various files that they don't actually have. It's basically their own little world where they can do whatever they want because we were too "mean" to do it for them.
