I might be VERY stupid, but I followed every single step but I still can't get the files. Any help is appreciated.
Hmmm... I'm not sure what is causing the error, the script works fine for me.
So let's debug it step-by-step. Check if you can get the expected result on each steps:
Code: php.exe psxtools/pc_gunvolt_irlst-irarc.php resarc_00_cmn.irlst
Successfully running this command will create a "resarc_00_cmn" folder with tons of *.17 and *.7 files in them.
If you couldn't see that folder, make sure you have both "resarc_00_cmn.irlst" and "resarc_00_cmn.irarc" (as in the picture above).
If you get out of memory error, you'll need to edit php.ini, look for the line "memory_limit = 128M" and change it to "memory_limit = 2048M". Save and try the command again.
Let me know if you didn't get "resarc_00_cmn" folder.
Code: php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php 17 "php.exe psxtools/quad_pc_gunvolt_IOBJ.php -gv"
php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php 7 "php.exe psxtools/quad_pc_gunvolt_IOBJ.php -gv"
If successful, you'll see a bunch of folders named similar to the *.17 and *.7 files, and inside those folders you'll see a *.QUAD file, and some *.CLUT or *.RGBA files.
Let me know if you didn't get the folders.
Code: php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php clut "php.exe psxtools/img_clut2png.php"
php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php rgba "php.exe psxtools/img_clut2png.php"
If successful, you'll get a bunch of *.PNG named *.CLUT.PNG or *.RGBA.PNG.
Let me know if you didn't get the *.PNG.
That's pretty much it. Cmd.exe might look intimidating, but it actually very simple.
Good luck!

Hey, so I did the steps again. The "resarc_00_cmn" folder appeared, but the folder with the .QUAD or .CLUT files didn't appear. I don't know why this happens.

AH! I am an idiot! I already wrote -gv for Gunvolt 1 on the tutorial, yet I'm still thinking -gv1 instead! The code on that step should be:
Code: php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php 17 "php.exe psxtools/quad_pc_gunvolt_IOBJ.php -gv"
php.exe psxtools/tsr_cmdloop.php 7 "php.exe psxtools/quad_pc_gunvolt_IOBJ.php -gv"
I'll update my github later to support both -gv1 and -gv2, in case I forgot again. Also corrected the code from few posts above.
Sorry for such stupid mistake

Hey, I'm pretty late, but thanks, the .QUAD and .RGBA files appeared.
Currently, I'm trying to arrange Copen's sprites from GV2, but I'm having a hard time doing it...
Once again, thanks!

Okay, so someone on the GV discord made this guide to ripping GV3 stuff, including it's sprites. Asked him if it's okay to share with you guys.
He uses Renderdoc for this guide.

Looks interesting, but is a bit harder without a proper PC to run the Switch Emulator (i don't have a proper PC to do that actually)

The current scripts on my GitHub repo is broken. I can confirm the last working copy is on Nov 3, 2021 , and you can download that commit here

Thanks @HellZero for informing me about this.

P.S. quad_render.php is currently renamed to quad_tool_render.php , but it is planned for removal. The main reason is the resulted sprites doesn't support other alpha blending modes (additive, subtract, average) except the default Normal. It is better to rework it to export to PSD (photoshop document) files instead, in the future.

Ok, the demo for Gunvolt 3 is now on Steam (full version coming out on Oct. 13th):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/19316...GUNVOLT_3/
One constant problem that I've seen Inti Creates to do more and more (even on the Switch version of their games) is to encrypt the name files, making them hard to recognize, any way to overcome this?
Also, should @rufaswan's anscript work exclusively with the PC version of the games? Gunvolt 3 on PC almost wasn't a given and the Switch version has been out for a while already (+ the fact that Gunvolt 2 on PC lacks the Shovel Knight amiibo bossfight, they simply didn't bother to program it into other versions)

Not sure if It is same as other Inti Creates games (Bloodstained COTM/Blaster Master Zero 2/Mighty Gunvolt Burst/Dragon Marked for Death), RTB seems to able to make some progress on recovering the original filenames.

The scripts are written and tested with PC Steam version, and never tested with other console varieties. I heard the textures on console are swizzled, so it probably will not work correctly.
