yeah, just a simple Mario RPG-style sprite with FLUDD. I was thinking of making some game out of this, like an overworld adventure game like ALttP, only with Mario and FLUDD. But I don't know anythign about programming games, so this is pretty much just a spriting project thing for me.

C+C please.

Cool idea, but:
-the proportions are slightly out (torso too long, maybe make face rounder)
-the colour palette could be less boring: think about Delfino/Sunshine, it happens on a sunny, tropical island. You could use more fruity and daring colours for this, with a bit more contrast.
Good luck! Can't wait to see a mockup!

Same comments. Ah, and shouldn't FLUDD's hole be bigger?

I don't know, but I did make the face rounder and the torso shorter in that update.

Also, contrast upped.

Quite true, you did.
Contrast upped doesn't look good, I suggest you do it by hand (and keep that rich red you had before

by hand? What do you mean? I pick colors by, in MsPaint, double clicking on a color from the default pallette, then I go to define custom colors and pick something that looks good (or in this case, has more contrast). That's how I always pick my pallettes

Ah. The contrast levels look very equal-levelled so I thought they were done via Photoshop or its like :/
Anyway, remember what I said about the palette in my first post, and:
-I strongly advise you not to take red values over 140-150 (I'm talking about the box on the bottom left, it's in french so I can't find the appropriate term to translate it)
-make his eyes look less wide (for now the lightest shade of skin next to his eyes looks like white and therefore blends with the eye)

...
(maybe make him look less surprised)
