GBC Star Ocean Blue Sphere map backgrounds
#1
Anyone remember Star Ocean Blue Sphere from the Pixelation thread, that GBC game with amazing pixel art? I spent the last couple of days trying to write a script that would rip all the map backgrounds from it. I think I got them all. There are 98 tilesets and about 1600 unique screens, which connect together to form 270 "zones". I'll attach a zip with everything I got, remember there might be errors since it's all automatic though. Might clean up the script and post it later on too. It'd be cool to try to stitch together an overworld map...

Download ZIP (was too big to attach actually)

edit: script is here.

Wow, these look even better than some SNES games.

It's god-tier GBC graphics for sure.

I tried piecing an overworld map together by hand. Doesn't line up perfectly though... Click for full res (6304 x 5904, 2.3M).

I would submit the whole thing to VGMaps and the separate areas to TSR.

For this site, it's more convenient to have it on smaller sheets without too much blank space while VGMaps appreciates bigger maps to see everything at once.
