Hello, I'm very new to this, so I'm sorry if this is a silly question.
I've been ripping assets from a Switch visual novel called Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~. I found the backgrounds and event CGs, but for some reason, most of them are stored like this, with lots of black around them:

Those black parts aren't shown when you see them in-game.
Should I leave them as they are, since that's how they're stored in the game's files? Is there a particular reason they need to be like this that I'm not aware of? Or should I just go ahead and crop them before uploading?
