Unity animations won't extract?
#1
So I've been at this all day and am probably missing something in my frustration, but does anyone have experience in extracting Unity assets with animations?

From what I've seen on tutorials, you select the mesh, the animator that matches the mesh name, and then whatever clips you want to extract. AssetStudio will then spit out an .fbx with the mesh animating to the animations selected.

However, in the case of Disney Mirrorverse, there are...many Animators, and a handful of them share the same name amongst themselves! (See image 1) I've tried to export them, but though it spits out a seemingly valid .fbx file (at least one that Noesis can read), there's. No mesh? and the skeleton doesn't animate? (See image 2) I've even tried Blender and there's no mesh or animation. I can't figure if this is a name-mismatch problem or something else entirely. The meshes themselves export fine without animations, textures are fine, it just seems to be in combination...somehow.

Here is the .assetbundle and my attempts at extraction; it didn't seem to matter if I selected either Export selected objects (Split) + selected animationclips or  Export selected objects (merged) + selected animationclips, both popped up the no mesh, no moving skeleton in Noesis despite being .fbx and despite there being animation frames playing in the Noesis preview window.

I'd appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction; did I miss a step or is this just going to be a case of trying every Animator vs every AnimationClip until they work?
