THE TIME LIMIT IS OTHERWISE RAD. Seriously. But it kinda stops you feeling like you're there to explore and adventure and more like you're there to run in and get shit done.

OoT despite being my FAVOURITE GAME EVER IN THE FUCKING WORLD OH MY GOD suffered a bit from not feeling particularly rich or as well-developed as it could've been, MM on the other hand is a much richer and more thought out world but you always kinda feel like there's some guy hanging over your shoulder pestering you to stop taking pictographs or dossing about in a shooting gallery and start saving the world :c

I'll never understand this argument. For me this is what set the mood and made the game that much more atmospheric, adding to the sense that "HOLY SHIT THE WORLD REALLY IS ENDING."

I'm not denying that, but "holy shit the world is ending" != "hey this is a good time to explore :>"

It sets the mood but you don't get much of an idea of how the world works.

I'm probably not explaining myself properly, ughhh.
The time system = good
but it's not flawless. Obviously it wouldn't work without the timed thing and you couldn't realistically have the time limit without feeling a bit rushed, my point is that it's not a perfect idea. It's a good one, but the flaw balances the good...ness.

Yes.

I don't even know I am so bored of this argument now :c

When I played Majora's Mask, I would always just spend so much time goofing around doing sidequests and just exploring. The time limit didn't bother me. Because you can just mess around for 3 days, reset, and continue messing around to you heart's content, resetting every 3 days. Seriously, the time limit wasn't ever a problem for me, and it never bothered me.

The Legend of Zelda : Hero of Fairies

Plot: After the events of Termina Link returns home to where he is suddenly rushed by the postman wearing his bunny hood saying he's been looking for Link for days. The Postman gives Link a letter written by Navi saying that she returned to her own Kingdom, but Link should come visit her. Link elated to learn Navi being okay jumps up at the oppurtunity, but only recently learned of the outside world of Hyrule must now learn how to enter the Realm of Fairies. But only has 5 days in which she can wait for him! Which is where the game begins.

Chapter 1: Find a way into the realm of fairies!
Beginning of the game, Link must first with Epona chase down the now incredibly fast Postman to find out where the letter came from. (He realizes there is no return address on the postcard from Navi and must find out where the original letter came from. Link learns the letter came from the the Great fairy inside the grounds of Hyrule castle. Link returns to her, and learns that he must refind all the great fairies of Hyrule receive their blessing and the blessings of the 3 great fairies in Termina, as well as the 4 elder fairy sages to gain acceptance into being welcome into their realm.

Chapter 1 consists of the revisiting of Hyrule, Link is reintroduced to a new Bombmers Notebook for helping people, learns that Princess Zelda is making progress with her father from stopping Ganondorf, we are introduced to the Fairy Enchant system, The time limit system returns, The Happy Mask shop is no longer run by the happy masked man, Ruuto invites Link to her birthday party as her date.

This is just a gist of what I have in my head bu all the Orcarania and Termina realms, places, and locales stick to their original more Wind Waker looks but now have more expansive areas to compensate for the new storyline.

Also, new Kingdom and Fairy Realm of course.

Well, as far as the whole "Link wanting to visit Navi" storyline. I don't quite think it'd be a great idea to include Hyrule for the entire first chapter, but rather partially like Majora's Mask did.

To be honest though rather then adding on to an existing time line, I was thinking of making an entirely new time line that could start off again from the start off again from OoT of how Hyrule was recovering from Ganon's (Or Ganondorf whichever you want to call him) attempt at world conquest, also telling how Hyrule evolved over time. And how followers of Ganon were trying to re-establish there fallen empire as well as reviving Ganon, kind of like what they did in Zelda II.

Instead of calling Hyrule just one kingdom, It became more of a country of kingdoms. So by this way you can explore more then one kingdom throughout the game, so this way you can have possibly explore kingdoms like Holodrum, Labrynna, hell even throw in places like Koholint Island and Termina as kingdoms if you wanted, And lastly to where it all started Central Hyrule. And with each kingdom being revamped entirely from what they once were.

As fourth with the technology in the Country of Hyrule, which started to become more advance, Things that came from Termina could make there way in, Such as Clocks (the clock tower also counts) but because Hyrule is now one big country there could be time zones as well, so say it'd be 1:00 at the western side of Hyrule but at the eastern side it's 2 hours ahead, so it'd be 3:00. As well as adding new things like guns (Which is a prototype of a new weapon being developed) and crossbows and watches.

As well as some elements being thrown in there, you could add the whole "save the world on time" concept again, but rather then 3 days it's now 10 day's, which gives you time to explore, but the timezone element being in, depending where you are could effect what day it is, so if your at western Hyrule you add a day on, if your at central Hyrule it's the same 10 day routine, but if you at eastern Hyrule a day is subtracted, which could give a more realistic challenge. And a few new mini-games also.

And the races, because there are different Kingdoms there can be as Follows:
Hylains
Humans (They were put in one of the games weren't they?)
Gorons
Zoras
Subrosains
Gerudo
Fairies
(Anything else I'm missing?)
Every race would have there own specific role to help Link Defeat Ganon. So there, also you could even throw in characters that were in other few games through out the zelda series, but with different roles then had in other games excludind Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. For example, Vatti being the major Villain in the FS time line now a trusted right hand man of Ganon. Also another thing to give races aside from Hylains (And possibly Humans) gender differences, because to me, some of them kind of looked like asexuals for the most part.

These are pretty much the ideas I had for a new Zelda game, if you want to add on then go ahead.

Sounds like Zelda RPG. Pretty interesting, I think.

Also, be careful when saying "guns" and "Zelda" in the same sentence. Some people are rather acidic towards those ideas together.

Maybe because the idea is thoroughly retarded

how bout that

They should remake the GB Oracle games in 3D.

THAT WOULD BE SO BADASS. I'd preorder that soon as it was announced.

3D = Collision issues.

I'd prever a Hi-rez remake with extra dungeons and stuff. And that's if they were to touch Oracles AT ALL; they're just fine as they are.

The Oracle games work just fine in 2D. Don't fix what ain't broken.

Link should have a son.

Named Link.
How awesome would that be?!

Isn't every new Link a descendant of the old Link, or are they all just coincidentally named Link?
Thanked by:

descendant, i think
Thanked by:

every link is a hylian so its possible that theyre descendants. especially seeing as in several games, hylians cease to exist.
