I am hoping/expecting that its success will lead to an actual Mario & Sonic adventure game, none of this minigame crap.

I am hoping it doesn't come out and that Nintendo will start to make real games.

Hmm... Complaining about the lack of "real" Nintendo games? I assume that means games that aren't sports, party, or racing games. Well considering the Wii has been out for what... about 2 1/2 years? Let's measure it to other systems within that time limit. Excluding any sports or racing games.
N64 GAMES: Super Mario 64 Blast Corps GoldenEye 007 Star Fox 64 Mischief Makers The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Banjo-Kazooie = 7 "Real" games for the N64 within the first 2 1/2 years. Let's see Gamecube now. GAMECUBE GAMES: Luigi's Mansion Pikmin Super Smash Bros. Melee Metroid Prime Star Fox Adventures Super Mario Sunshine = 6 games within the first 2 1/2 years. Now let's check on the Wii. WII GAMES: Super Paper Mario Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Super Mario Galaxy Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wario Land: Shake It! = 6 games for the first 2 1/2 years. The same as the Gamecube and only one less than the N64. I think Nintendo has done pretty good. (02-24-2009, 04:27 PM)Xof E.H. Not to bring up an old subject within the topic but DK characters were considered for the roster but was dropped, so I can see him in the game.
OFF TOPIC: Koopaul here are my views on the games you are mentioning (and Killer Aslox's) (02-26-2009, 11:18 AM)koopaul Wrote: WII GAMES:Feel free to object, because I to be honest want to see what your side of the view. Look at Sega. My point is that Nintendo has never released that many games to begin with, but still stay successful. Also Ubisoft has been feeding most of the casual crap to Nintendo right now anyway. Ever heard of the Imagine series? My point was to show you that Nintendo has been releasing the same amount of normal non-casual games as they always had. What you consider good or not is just an opinion. (02-26-2009, 04:51 PM)KillerAslox Wrote: Like? 95% I see is crappy casual games when I check for games, and the rest mostly belongs to either don't care or already have.Twilight Princess was just a ported Gamecube game to me. And also I counted the number of casual games for the Wii. They are about 8 or 9 depending on what you consider casual. Yes that's quite a bit, but I hardly consider them crap. They are well made, unlike the hundreds of crappy casual games made by third-parties like Ubisoft. You can't blame Nintendo for third-parties trying to make hundreds of rip-offs of Nintendogs or Wii Play. I cannot deny the large amount of casual games Nintendo has released, but they still do have "real" games. Which was my original point. In short most of the crappy games you see on the Wii are made by third-parties thinking they can copy the success Nintendo has made for themselves. And despite Nintendo's success with casuals, they still make some good "real" games too. Nintendo could have just stopped making games like the ones I listed and just stuck with what's making them money. But they're still going to be releasing traditional games despite this.

When does being a platform make it less of a game SSBB: Gosh what is up with pepole over hyping games? SSBB is a great game, I don't care if you ruined it by over hyping, There is no reason to say this game sucks, (ok yea online was rushed/laggy, but how hard is it to get 4 friends in the same room?) WL: SI : Just becuse you over hyped it doesn't make it bad :V I can't understand why you didn't give resons why ou didn't like it I mean what about the game didn't you like? Hype isn't a valid ansewer
Okay lets mot get into an argument here. Let's just drop it.

I think it's clear that a lot of old Nintendo gamers feel Nintendo have abandoned them.
02-27-2009, 03:12 PM
Who gives a damn about 'old' Nintendo gamers? If they want old nintendo games so badly, then they can go and play said games; and remember not to bitch when Nintedo rehashes games for them.
As things stand, as long as the game is fun (and quite often with Nintendo, it seems to be), then the old whiny marketbase of yesteryear doesn't count for shit.

Not really, it's like with Star Wars. Sure the new ones have fans but everyone who loved the old ones still moans how they've ruined Star Wars. Many people say the same about Nintendo. Some people sit and moan, while others simple ignore the new stuff.
