When was this decided?

In the Character tweaks section, it was suggested. I don't like the idea of PK Rockin' personally, I don't know about you guys

I was thinking of two options for pk rockin'

1.Make it like Captain Falcon's fs in which it uses a cutscene if you hit the first hit. It would show an Earthbound battle border on the screen and then it would say on the top Ness casts Pk Rockin' A! We could use the effect directly from Earthbound.
2. Make it a multiple strike move in which it hits the right side of the map first doing minimal damage and then it hits the left side of the screen doing the same. Then it has an explosion in the center of the screen for the most damage. We could still use the effect from Earthbound for this.

The balancing and stuff hasn't been thought of, but these are pretty good bets on how it will go.

I had an idea. Maybe make it like Guitar Hero? pressing the button suggested means that the PK guitar inflicts more damage?

PK Rockin' really doesn't need to be complex. It'll act like PK Starstorm, but only in two psychic rain bursts (with little explosions) followed by a big psychic blast (big explosion).

Damage given can vary depending on where the targets are when PK Rockin' hits (people in the center take big damage and get launched -- people elsewhere may not take much damage or avoid it altogether).

Lucas has it. Apparently, Ness doesn't in the games, so it makes more sense for him to have something differnet.

in relation to SCF's suggestion, i'm all for making the PSI attacks in general look more like the games, it would definitely give them a unique look and feel over other attacks.

Lucas doesn't use it either.

In earthbound Poo uses it, and in Mother 3 Kumatora uses it.

Lucas uses PK Love. Ness uses Rockin'.

Forget even putting PK Starstorm into the game at all. Ness or Lucas never even used it, their party members did.
Lets just make Ness use PK Rockin', and Lucas use PK Love.
