I agree. I tried to fix that, and I gave him some basic creases in his cape. Dont know if this helps

Is it just me, or is the sword getting shorter and shorter? Wasn't that one of our major problems at the start?
Other than that... very, very fine sprite indeed.

Aura, you actually kinda worsened the jagged-ness.
@Tarvonas, it seems that his arm's been getting longer, but instead of moving the sword down, the sword's just been getting shorter. So guys, should we lengthen the sword, or what? Thanked by: D2S-Speed

Not shorter, but thicker and more blunt.
Yeah, you're right. The thickness is giving it the illusion of looking shorter.
I like Air's sword, but it's still a bit too jagged. It's hard to get a smooth effect on something so small with pixels, though. Maybe in that case no outline would be best? The problem with no outline is how it'll blend with lighter backgrounds.. I do think it needs some sort of outline. Maybe not completely black? Actually, I'll just try playing around with that sword... BRB! EDIT: OK, so, the black outline won't work for me. I just can't make it look any smoother than what's been given. Instead, I tried to implement a lighter grey outline. I got the first sprite's sword, changed it quite a bit, and threw it on aura's overall sprite: And that's what came out. Yay or nay?

Lets combine.
We use Aircy's Marth and sword, but we use Ninspriterx and Vic's sword shading. As you can see, Aircy changed the swords shading to a flat dull look, but conviniently added outline.
Ahh, so we definately want the black outline?
I might try that combination in a sec. I'm a bit caught up now. EDIT: Done. The change isn't all that noticable, but that's what happened when I merged the two.

I don't see too much wrong with this design, as it brings in the outline without affecting the thickness of the sword, and looks a lot smoother too. Anyone else think that this should be the final design?

A little more detail to the cape etc and that could be next to perfect!

Yeah, I agree with the cape. If no one does it by tomorrow, I'll have a crack at that too.

A little more detail in the cape and it'll be an arse to animate.
Its great as it is now, good job on the sword merge. Lulz, I rhymed. Kinda.

Ok, I gave my shot at it !
Little detail to the cape, sword jagginess fixed. Thanked by: Kitsu, ThePortalGuru, Gold

Ah, cool. The sword looks straight now.
I like the cape, too, but something feels off about it. Seeing as I can't explain it, I'd just ignore the feeling. Thanked by: Lexou Duck
