That's why you have to practice and dedicate yourself to spriting. While not everyone is able to start scratch right off the bat, these forums are more for novice and advanced spriters than beginner spriters. This doesn't mean you should leave. Just keep practicing, never give up, and listen to feedback that people post about your work.

It's going to take time for your skills to improve, but as long as you have the will, you'll be able to do anything you set your mind to. For right now instead of trying a style that's too much for you right now, why not try Flying Mario in a more friendly style? It can even be a custom 8-bit style if you want to try doing that for a start.

Yeah, i started doing edits to, but not recolours, i gave people a different hairstyle or something XD and moved on piece by piece, 8BIT is a good style to start, i started with ND3 wich is very good to learn shading and stuff

do you want to say that recolors are useless ?

Recolours are useless if they don't bring anything new to the table. These don't even have the flying sprites (whole point of the powerup), like omegakyogre already mentioned on the previous page, making these pretty much a useless edit. However, if you do add the flying poses, this might actually be of some use to someone.

Well recolors arent useless if a person doesn't know about the 5 min recolor but usually itll take longer since some sheets dont even have the same color of the same sprite which I find retarded.
