Awesome, that map is still one of the best level selects I've seen in a game.

I completely agree. They just don't make maps like they used to. :\

I got the title screens for both the original Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle ripped.

Nice one

I ripped the Emerald Radar and I also ripped the Title Cards in two parts. I split them up because 1. The original files were like that. 2. A combined file would have been WAY too big.

You know which level sucked? All of Knuckles. They weren't fun, they were just boring and time consuming.

Yeah, they were. They kinda remind me of the werehog's levels in unleashed. At least in those you know where you're supposed to go.

Specifically the "Find all 3 Keys to get past that Dark Forcefield" parts of the levels. Actually, I frankly don't believe that I've ever heard of anyone who actually liked the Werehog levels, at ALL. But that's gettin' off-topic. Nice rips, Shadowth!

Thanks guys. I uploaded the normal enemy textures and the enemy SFX. Unfortunately the enemy SFX didn't come out with much transparency, but it still has cool stuff like lightning.
Also the only thing about the werehog that I do like is the fact that in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions there are glitches to get through the levels really fast.

These are too good; but one question - is this from the original Dreamcast version or the GCN version (SA2 Battle)?
But aren't the models themselves still required prior to applying respective textures themselves...?

Awesome work!

These are mostly Dreamcast textures. I don't rip most of the SA2B textures because they use a different format that doesn't have a finished converter yet. I have a SA2B exclusive things up, but that's only because I ripped them from Dolphin with 3d Ripper DX. Its not that it would be hard to get the textures from the GC version. Its just that when they're ripped with 3d Ripper DX they are all given new, completely unrelated names so I would have no idea what I was ripping. I can look at the models that get dumped, but a lot of times they have the wrong textures on them when you rip them from Dolphin. Besides, I've checked the texture folder a few times when I made rips before for comparison and a good majority of the textures are exactly the same anyway. :/ The only big changes in the port are that they made a new title screen, made the character models a bit better, and added more details to some of the levels. They also added a bunch to the multiplayer hence the "Battle" part, but it wasn't anything really noteworthy texturewise.
As for the model question, no actually you can use any texture with any model you want. Its just that you'd have to UV map it to make it look right. Edit: I rearranged the first post.

Go to hell, the Knuckles stages were awesome if you knew what you were doing. The Shooting stages were the worst. Also, your Radar rip is missing the versions where Knuckles hunts down Keys and where Rouge hunts down whole Chaos Emeralds. The background on the Story Select screen can be changed by changing 'themes' from the options menu IIRC, so there are probably a bunch of alternate versions around. |
