The Simpsons Arcade!
#1
Greetings fellow spriters of the world! Recently I've gotten back into the scene and back into the Simpsons. So, obviously, I've decided we should finish up this game and put more on it's page. Right now I'm been trying various methods of ripping on this game but other than capture ripping it's not been very successful, so I'm probably going with that. Possibly later we can delve into this a bit deeper and do more with the internal files. Most likely though we won't need to, as it's a rather easy game to rip from if you're accustomed to singling out enemies or disabling layers and such. Currently I have a few sheets in progress, but nothing complete yet, and on my home computer (I'm on my laptop and out of the house at the time of writing this.) Once I return home I will continue my projects on sheets and perhaps post a few results. Now we all know what's already ripped but just in case I'll post them here. Basically all we really need are enemies and bosses. I recommend cheats as usual even though it's not an especially difficult game. Well, in the meantime, feel free to do your own ripping and post them here, I'll make a list of what's ripped and who it's by as we go along. You can also make claims, and I'll make a list of those as well.

~Already Ripped~
-Marge Simpson
-Bart Simpson
-Lisa Simpson
-Homer Simpson
-Background characters.

So, it's basically just the enemies and bosses, and a few miscellaneous things that need ripping, since I had gotten all of the backgrounds, too.

That would be correct.

Unfortunately, today I had a bit of a fatal error with my computer...AGAIN...and I lost a good bit of data that wasn't backed up, including what I had for this project. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try ripping again once things are in order. In the mean time, feel free to make claims and post your own stuff folks.

Well folks sorry to waste your time and get your hopes up. So far all methods of re-ripping are failing. Unless someone teaches me a method of tile ripping this game, as I'm better at that than capture ripping, then this project is dead. I'd like to continue but capture ripping is too difficult to manage and as MAME is the only program that can run this game, I'm very limited in resources. I'd appreciate some teaching and help on this if anyone wishes this to get of the ground.
