Right, so it would seem that any character with pure black is unrippable due to the storage format... This could be harder than I anticipated.

Dazz, this application you made, is it getting the sprites from in-game or the disc itself? I ask because Juggernaut seems to be lacking his crouching animation and he did have one in the previous games.

You don't need an emulator or rom, Dazz already ripped everything, if you want to do Spider-Man, just ask and he'll give you everything he ripped for Spider-Man.

The point Dazz was making is he has the sprites ripped but he doesn't want to assemble all of the sheets. He already did half of the work, he wants everyone else to do the other half (the sheet assembly).

Actually, back in the day when i did color mods for marvel superheroes vs streetfighter and for mvc2 i did find out that blackheart's darkest shade in his palette is in fact NOT pure black!

I tried ripping part of him back in the day. was a real bitch what with his demons and bla bla...

The application basically does this;
Finds palette.
Finds character's pieces. (They are not stored in full sprites)
Finds information on how those pieces are assembled.
Makes assembly.
Saves output.

I'm pretty sure that I've got every pose, if not, then the poses weren't part of their assembly file. I'll have a gander again and see if I can find any more extra pieces, but I think I got everything besides pointless menu shit which nobody would use.

I'm almost done with Juggernaut but it's not going to be really sorted out since certain animations reuse the same sprites.

And which version of the game are we doing this for? Arcade? Dreamcast? PS2?
