If I had to make a suggestion, I would say try something akin to jump superstars. Then again, look around tSR and find a style you like and try mimicking it. No matter how hard it is, mimicking the style will give you insight into what you need to practice and how to improve.

@Tomster- For me when I first started I had an easyer time with the bigger sprites. I just had a hard time putting in all the detail I wanted to in smaller sprites back then.

My hostility lies in the fact that tomster seems to think he's a god, and that no one is better than him. He thinks he's too good to take advice. Every time someone tells him there's a problem that he hasn't previously noticed himself, he reaches up his ass and pulls something out.

That's why I'm always so pissy with him. I don't act like that to people that don't deserve it.

Actually it depends atthe spriter him/herself, as far as I can see it from everyone's posts, it seems that everyone has a different style in spriting. So it is not "AWLAYS" easier to make smaller sprites.

Regardless of size people have more difficulty with details and the finer points. With smaller sprites the finer points don't exist, therefore it looks better but then with smaller sprites you need to worry about readability and general shape identity. With larger sprites, ranging in the 64x64 range, you can sufficiently work on issues like anatomy, shading, allowing for finer details to come out, it exposes all the weaknesses and therefore result in better crits to help them. So, make small ones to slow the process and take baby steps, or do leaps and bounds and improve faster.

But, even he doesn't deserve it. Fighting like cats and dogs is simply immature and I won't tolerate it here. I've even given Mark G a second chance to show that he's better. Jumping on people causes them to fall back into old patterns. Your hostility is pushing him back and causing him to react badly. Both of you are behaving like little children and if I have to I'll give you time outs like little children. Understand, final warning before I take action on both of you.

Ah, but the thing about editing, is that you only need a base; the style doesn't matter, unless you're specifically going for one. While the style is mediocre, the range of poses it offers are amazing. I have borrowed many a limb from Sanji in my time.

I don't give the stars your post count does and that was in no way an apology. I'm asking you to tone down the hostility. It is quite uncalled for even if someone is acting like they are god. If they aren't taking crits like they should then the topic will get locked. I'm no longer going to help the topic go down in flames. But if someone is acting like they are god they aren't going to change though flame wars. In fact they will act even more they are like god. I'm not even asking you stop it completely.
