A lot more work than it sounds, and when I have 1 day off work a week, and a 6 month holiday to plan, I just don't have the time to arrange it.

Is there a way to make it so that threads whose most recent posts are past a certain age lock automatically? It would get rid of a lot of the pointless topic bumping that goes on. Something tells me that a feature like that is way too complicated to implement, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Most forums have a way to display by default only posts that are a certain age (such as 30 days or less), so if locking them doesnt work they can at least not be immediately visible to anyone browsing.
just turn on auto thread pruning or whatever its called
also I still feel like the forums could be organized better (brought this up before, dont remember where) Going off of sengir's idea to reboot the forums under a different name would make it infinitely easier than trying to keep everything under separate categories as well example for the sake of yes: Quote:Main Stuff: The only huge changes would need to be in the various Resource categories and in the art forums, and the entirety of the forum would be infinitely more visually pleasing because right now, even with certain forums minimized things are still extremely cluttered Thanked by:

I thought you had someone else do all the forum management work??? and even then i'm sure there's another admin with the time to reboot the forums to be more general.

1up's idea isn't bad, but it could be nice to add a Ripping board/discussion if planning to rename Sprites Discussion to Pixel Art, and so use it for all sites (spriters, models, sounds, textures).
And the oh-so-controversial Request forums be divided into two: Requests (small stuff, like 4 posing sprites, tops. One request at time. No $ involved) and Jobs (bigger stuff, like fully-animated characters, multiple requests. $$$$ )

I was thinking that when someone is banned, any rankings they have given should be deleted, because they could easily downrep mods and admins for warning them and once there banned, those reps are permanent

Actually you can ask the admins to remove negative rep from banned members, but it have been discussed before too

This isn't really a suggestion, but I didn't think this needed a new thread.. so.
I'm Silver/SilverBolt/and probably something else from a while back. I have to admit, I really like the whole Sprite/Model/Sound/and what ever you guys do now resources. I think that decision truly evolved from what the site originally intention was. I'm glad to see this place still exist, and it doing fairly well to keep with the times. Also from the other thread I personally think that the requests forum shouldn't really be a sub forum to the sprite discussion, if you think about it with all the sister sites we've made we might as well do that, considering that some people would want models or whatever then just sprites.

How about getting sprite resources for Harvest Moon, Isle of Happiness for DS? That be awesome.
