I have to say this to everyone ever but IF YOU CAN'T DRAW BY HAND DON'T TRY DRAWING WITH A TABLET. That is trying to run before you can walk and it is backasswards.

Also:
structure structure structure structure structure structure. Do loads of structural studies. Feel free to freehand once you're used to how things are laid out, but again, learn to walk before you run. Starting with freehanding is never, ever the right way to go.
