The game itself forgets the extra l at the end of "Schneekristall". Well, that's whatcha get from a Japanese game with "Gratuitous German".

And I'll consider ripping the sprites from that game at a later time. Might not be too hard.

Nope. It's currently impossible -- those characters were released after the "append" disc was released in Japan (now why couldn't they have waited for that?!?), so there's no possible way to get their sprites yet, since the update patches (with the new character sprites) for Disgaea 4 are encrypted...

Fixing the palettes for these sprites is NOT fun. All of the sprites normally have a "checkerboard" pattern of colours that are 1 value different from each other, therefore quadrupling the palette size -- it's a pain to optimize it back to the proper appearance.










...But yeah. That's the only thing I've got for now. More things later, as always.

And I've also updated the following sheet from Disgaea 4. Turns out that the missing DLC character portraits (Marona, Ash, Unlosing Ranger, King Kriechevskoy and Baal, as well as a new Prinny Kurtis portrait -- is this a running gag or something, always leaving the new portraits for a later update?) were in Disgaea D2's files. Unfortunately not the characters themselves or their icons, because that would be too convenient...

That's only one category of 'em. There's also swords, spears, bows, guns, axes and hammers, staves, books, and a pile of joke weapons. All* of which have two sets of sprites (normal, and "classic"). This is gonna take a while, for sure.



* (Well, all but the books at least, since Disgaea D2 doesn't have the "classic" sprites.)
