Been too long (but not too long) since I last submitted something.
We got room, but where is egg?
Here is egg. Eight to be exact.
And will submit more Tamagotchi later. Already done with Takotchi, Sekitoritchi, and Oyajitchi. However, I want to wait until I've completed the sheets for Tarakotchi, Kusatchi, Nyorotchi, Hashizotchi, and Kuchipatchi (and if I haven't procrastinated for a week getting the previous mentioned five, then the other six adult Tamagotchi with any luck)
Hm, what section is this? Game Boy?

Upload #49. I'm using a slightly different naming scheme for my uploads
( system - game - sheet* _ icon** )
*section icons won't have this
**sheet and section icons won't have this
I have the Master System sheets too, but I'm working on something for my 50th (I know 50 might not seem like a lot for some members who are either already up to triple digits, but for us newer people, 50 is kinda big). And what I was originally going to do for #50 I'll either wait until #75 or #100 {a Game Gear game that has elemental rock-paper-scissors, monster taming and summoning, and Fire Emblem KOing}
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b279/x...ndrome.png Redirects to an updated sheet that is on this page in my next post. So redundancy would be a little... redundant. *facepalms*
All three for the Game Gear.
By the way. For Game Gear and Master System games that don't use identical sprites but same name, should I have instead put (GG) and (SMS) after the title?

Someone else ripping a SMS/GG game that isn't me, Eddo or Techokami or a single sheet?
First off great rip. Second, yes put a GG and SMS that have completely different sprites but it is kinda of weird that the ports aren't as straight forward as they seem some of the time.
1) Different versions might share some of the same sprites but different on the other. Like Tom & Jerry, the main character sprites are similar except with a different palette but most of the sprites of the two versions could be considered different games if they didn't share music and the last/first level.
2) A straight up port might have sprites that the other version doesn't have (such as Deep Duck Trouble has a couple of sprites on the SMS that the GG version doesn't have)
3) An oddity that the game is identical or near identical on both versions with very little changes. Castle of Illusion on the GG is almost identical to the SMS (in fact when you play on an emulator, the game displays full screen) except the jump button, the year and the font. There are only like 12 games that are like this, the rest had major or minor changes.
An explaination is some games were released years after the SMS (whether by the company or not), a rushed version was made on the SMS and later fine tuned on the GG, a transition between the two (like Castle of Illusion) and just a port. A bit OT but for the ninja goal of your project, you can blame/thank me for being the driving force of it.

Well. My next sheet might be a while. I'm going to put on hold my next two sheets of Mai and Josephine from "Makeruna Makendo" and "Kendo Rage" to work on as much of "Crystal Warriors" until I break down and upload my Master System sheet for Alien Syndrome's Ricky and Mary
Well. It'll take a while before we can get Game Gear and Master System their own (shared?) section. But hopefully Alien Syndrome, Alien Syndrome, and my next project can help a little (long term but not any time soon goal, ha ha) .
And here's the update for the Alien Syndrome section tag. [typed as uploading, and now needs to edit tags for, anyone know how to skip the "edit tags for images screen" on Photobucket when uploading? I don't use tags nor put descriptions on my uploads and would rather save the few seconds to hit "return to album"]
... huh, looked a little blurry to me for a second... well its fixed. If it doesn't say "Alien Syndrome (GG)" try refreshing the image.
I am really starting to hate water in RPGs. One of the things I'm trying to get is the maps (map 1 is about 90% done [animated parts...]) and water is a really complicated part. Might have to go back to that one to try to make it simpler if its possible. Which it is. "Do it yourself" water. Four animations of water (so far...), five animations for shorelines. Pick an animation each category.

OK. #50 isn't going to be anything big any more. But it will be the start of a project.
And thanks to level 9 healers being the best units in the game (just got one), the next half of the game should be easy (they can't self heal, but its cool, I only took 2 damage [and have 90+ HP] from an enemy boss that was level 9 and critically hit him for 40+ damage [that was more than 2/3 his maximum health lost right there from a unit designed with the sole purpose of healing your main fighting units {kill 20 monsters with the two healers, they'll both be at level 9 and can duo the rest of the game ha ha}]).
Submitting today, the font used for the game Crystal Warriors for the Game Gear.
And submitting the version of Ricky and Mary from Alien Syndrome (Master System).
And to show I'm not just submitting only the font. Here's the map for the first battle.
And the trees and water are animated, but I'm compiling a sheet for the tiles used with their animations that I'll submit after I get the map for the final battle.
I have up to battle 5's map done (won't be submitting right now). Characters will be a small pain to get. But knowing that 20 defeated enemies gets one to level 9, I can worry about maps now, and run through the game later to get other sprites.

OK. Was going to post sprites from Lord Monarch for the SNES. But I recently got a hex editor and was able to hack the save file for Crystal Warriors. So expect the last five levels by the end of the week and I'll start uploading battle and map sprites next week when I replay.
Since I try to avoid posting comments in my topic without a submission, here's map #11.

Thank you Carpaccio.
Here are the tiles used on the maps plus one hypothetical tile based on the surrounding tiles.
Um... The icon I can remake or someone else can if they want. I kinda wanted an effect that the map wasn't complete (since its a custom map using some of the tiles...) but if its not good enough, I can remake it, or use the complete image I made for it.
And the "purple" water/swamp/poisoned liquid(?) is actually blue and brown, heh, I still get fooled and I'm the one who ripped it.

OK. Normally I don't like posting without submitting in this topic, but considering even when they don't say it, the staff does save the pics (seriously, I was worried before the last update since nothing was said).
Any way. I was looking online to see if someone posted the manual for the game I'm currently ripping (didn't find it), and found out it had a multiplayer mode. Well, I was also hacking the save file for the game, and figured out the offset that determines your characters (the names, elements, and sprites and other picture information is set by this, so no Princess Dayne or Fighter Iris, although you can try to complete the game replacing some of your allies with Ranger Aya, or Warlord Damun, or other enemies in the game [haven't tried removing Iris from the party or letting Princess Cham {the player 2 ruler in multiplay} get killed]), the weapons and armor they use, experience and levels, spells they know, their movement, attack, defense, HP, and MP.
With these informations known, I can more easily rip the actual character sprites and not simply the character backgrounds [the units on the map are background elements unlike most later strategy RPGs or same time period console ones where the units are sprites] since I can have enemies (especially pain in the butt ones who don't want to move) be in my party and get their moving sprites.
