No one ripped Centipede yet? Wow.

Also, nicely done on the Famicom MM rips.
Let's just get one thing straight: My username has NOTHING to do with the Megaman character, Zero.

Thank you.

By the way, with the Centipede sheet, I don't know if my note was clear enough, but for body segments you just need to change the color of the eyes to that of the body.

Took a break from ripping. Been reading Let's Plays at the Let's Play archive, reading books from my local library (check out your local library, it might have some cool stuff there [mine has graphic novels and manga as well as the standard fiction/nonfiction hard and softcover novels]), and doing some other stuff. And finally hooked up my spare external hard drive with my PS1 games on it. So... going to rip from Lup Salad and Lord Monarch the PlayStation versions of both. May be up before the weekend.

And being way behind in the times, read a tutorial on and thus was able to figure out how to use the PSX Vram viewer with the most generic name ever so been playing around with that.

Just saying, I'm not dead, or quit.

OK. Lup Salad - Lupupu Cube because most of the sites I've seen the title at it was this, acceptable alternative can also be Lup*Salad I guess. Ripped from PSicture, no editing except for background color.

That was quick. Tongue Is this a DS game?

EDIT: Oh, PSX. Nevermind.

Funny you asked if it was a DS game, because while this is the original version, it was recently remade or ported to the DS earlier this year. Which I believe we should still have a sheet someone ripped from the DS game on this site.

Suppliment: Looked at the sheet for the DS game, and my memory of the first few puzzles of the DS version (being the same as the PS1 version) and considering I didn't see a chef costume it's either a remix or port/remake with different or bonus levels.

Edit: Actually, when Ragey submitted the sheet for the DS version I made that mistake thinking it was from the PS1 version. Heh.

I remember the other one being for DS, which is why I thought this one was. Tongue

OK. Haven't even touched the Lord Monarch sprites since I viewed them earlier in the week. But was going over some of my old games I had on my hard drive (the external one I hooked up to my new computer), and due to it using the .pic format to store the graphics, and despite Quicktime wanting to say its a legitimate file type it can open and between 3 or 4 Windows OSes (and skipping a few too) Quicktime has NEVER opened these files. Out of curiosity, I checked them in Tile Molester. And in greater curiosity I checked them in TiledGGD. Took a while to figure out since I don't use it. Even saw it could import palettes (thankfully there was a file called PALETTE.pic which took a short while to get the right settings to view the picture in the right colors), and an old Japanese Doujin game from 2000 with the best translation I was given from translation.babylon dot com, "Ayu Ayu Panic" an action puzzle game by chinchillasoft and a few years after that, they were awesome enough to convert the game to a GBA rom.

Before I finish up the sheet. I have a question. Since there was no "official" cartridge release of it, if I were to compile a sprite sheet for the GBA rom, (assuming it passes the standard judging of course) would it be accepted? Or would it be like ripping from a PD rom?

OK. Will probably edit this post with my next submission which is NOT Lord Monarch.

OK. Please read the above part first too. Here's the submission.

I'm sure that it would be accepted, because the conversion was done by the original developers and also there has been PD games uploaded before like Sonic Attack as well as unreleased prototypes. It will still come under GBA if you ripped it for GBA, whether released as a cartridge or not. I give an example that is local to me, I ripped Mr Nutz 2 which wasn't released on the Mega Drive and only one undumped cartridge exists so far but it was ripped from the source code that was leaked, that was still accepted on the site. Then again I don't know what I'm on about.

As for the sheet, great rip.

OK. Thank you.

By the way, Tonberry, this was for the PC. I still haven't submitted the GBA version's sprites. Which I will in a bit.

Also, made a very slight mistake in the PC sheet. Correction to be posted after the GBA sheet.
Here's the GBA one.

Here are the portraits and font for the NES version of Gemfire. There is also a Genesis version and a PC version (Don't know if its strictly DOS), and unless cheating is possible (you know, searching values for codes), getting the dragon will be a pain to get since it requires defeating a powerful family that thankfully gets weaker by each scenario, but still requires work to get (half the reason I didn't bother getting the Japanese names for the NES sheet below).
No family crests this time due to multiple palettes used for them in the NES version, and most of them are for minor families that require too much manipulation of events to cause them to split from their lords. Or too much hacking for me to bother with (though I did see a save file for the SNES and PC version that makes a "custom" scenario with 30 families so starting on the map instead of the usual 6-7
Come to think of it. The only problem with the dragon was only to see what it was called in the US and J version of the SNES game, and then the colors for the NES version.

In closing, kinda funny when I said I'd try another KOEI strategy game (tried Romance of the Three Kingdoms II [SNES], but there are "hidden" officers and multiple palettes for them. And tried Liberty or Death [SNES], but either the portrait data was weird.).
Will probably try RotTK later after messing with the ZSNES memory codes [max/infinite everything in a territory, and should try seeing the possibility of hacking rulers of a province. That could help later if I go back to Gemfire [NES].

Edit: P.S. - When arranging the portraits for the NES sheet, I went by the order they were in in the rom, not by the order I used for the SNES version (which too was by order in the rom). Which means if I can view the data of the Genesis game, there is a chance the data may also be in the same order. And not counting the monsters/5th units, this is perhaps the smallest cast I've seen in a KOEI strategy game not counting Aerobiz which was full of nameless nobodies (though I admit I haven't played every KOEI strategy game, so there is a chance there is a smaller cast).
