Here's what I'm working up for the current challenge. Something simple that I can get done in a reasonable amount of time.

Green character is intended to be Lief whilst the blue character is my own personal character. Not much to go on, I know, but at least it's something.
The colours are not intended to follow GBC limitations, nor will the background tiles when I get around to them.

Yeah, it does look very GBC.

In the books, Lief actually had black hair. So really, the anime took some liberties with the character designs.

I read it when i was 11... And i thought it was a little mature... Child books is Alice In Ther Wonderland etc... =p

Well I read them back when they were first released in 2001. That was back when I was 9. I thought they were a good read, though I probably didn't understand some of the themes in the books.
Anyway, I've tinkered with Lief's hair slightly, and I'm now working on Barda and Jasmine. Should have an update soon.

Ireadit when I was 10...i didnt find it mature. did theychange deltora quest to be all bloody and violent?
