yeah i had the frame rate at 6 so i could see if stuff looked okay(completely missed the long-as-fuck legs)

Well, the legs DO look a bit long, but not that long just cut them a tiny bit.

My main problem with it is that the shirt blends in too much with the jacket, but it's not supposed to be light, either. I'm not sure how to correctly "brighten" the shirt without making it look dark gray instead of black.

now that I see how you did it, it looks good while grey.
The only problem is that the hair isn't actually blue, but the dark color was used to differentiate it from the clothes. :p

I'm gotta try another edit to it.

Just to be sure, the legs/feet are required to be 0,0,0 correct?

Call me a purist, but I rather don't like the combination of vectors and sprites. To each his own, I suppose.
