what was so dark about the jordan-kosh days? If I remember correctly the only unhappy people were you and the people who couldn't take getting bashed.

But what about rippers? I just signed up, but I don't want to be postng my good rips to a bunch of n00bs.

Care to express your concern a little more clearly? Are you worried about not getting good feedback from people, that you don't want 'n00bs' using your rips, that you're calling tSR a bunch of 'n00bs' ?

no, I'm saying:

If it is split into experience and beginner, new users with good ripping skills could only show them to beginners

It's a scaling permissions I'd imagine. If you're experienced, you could obviously see the beginner's board. Moderators frequent all boards anyhow, at least I did back in the day, and if they see somebody's good, they can put in a word to the Admins or heck even promote members themselves.

Though, in your case, you seem to post first and ask questions later. I mean if you're going to submit your rips here, I would think you'd at least check to see if what you want to rip hasn't already been ripped before.

I still dislike this idea...

If someone who thinks they're experienced because they've been using MS Paint for a "whole month," posts some very bad sprites in "Experienced", the trolls are just going to have them for breakfast. It also opens up avenues for alts spamming pillow shaded line arts in the "Beginners" section.

I'm a beginner.. i think.
I've been using paint for almost 5 years, and im not that bad..... am I?

If you're the one posting a sprite: You posted to show off and ask suggestion to improve, so deal with the critique.
If you're the one reviewing/commenting a sprite: Remember to critique is different from bashing. Give constructive feedback or shut up. For example "She looks fat" is different than "She looks fat, maybe if you remove one pixel or two from the rip may help"
I agree with that. If we couldn't post on the experienced group we might not get any tips on how 2 improve our sprites and we'd be stuck as n00bs

I'm really starting to think that seperating SD into two seperate forums is kind of necessary now, theres just soo much activity there, its almost impossible to get any crit with new topics and constant bumping.

Doesn't matter, we all suck anyway.

Kidding. I'm not too keen on this idea, but we could try, I guess.
EDIT:
Disregard. Didn't read last page.

You know what would fix this? If we did that gallery we had at Pixeltendo and the members can rate each peice, that way, if you feel like assorting them by "highest rated", you can enjoy the cream of the crop, and if you feel like just skimming around a bit, you'd pick a "random" search feature, and that's that. The members physically seperate themselves, theres no "expert" title, your ratings make you earn it.
Got one. Smile
