you know I've actually been thinking about what I said earlier
Wario and Waluigi could work out, the only reason why I said that waluigi might have not be in the game earlier was because it's highly doubtful that we might be seeing him in a canon game over toad.
don't get me wrong, I enjoy Waluigi as a character, but he wasn't necessarily made for an actual game, just another side character usually seen in sports games. I mean it still could happen, the demo itself could just be a part of the beta and just be for show, Wario still could be in and possibly along with Waluigi, but it's still might not happen that Waluigi will get in

I'm a huuge Waluigi fan but I agree that he likely wouldn't work very well as a playable. I could easily see him as a main villain or as a side villain, but yeah. Although knowing nintendo they could easily throw something at us like Mario and Luigi are in it to save people, Wario is in it for the gold, and Waluigi is in it 'cause Wario is making him / the bad guy stomped on his favourite rose bushes or something. :/

I didn't know this until today when my Nintendo mag came but the koopa kids are bosses.
Or at least, the only fightable boss in the demo was Morton Jr.

I noticed that too, except in a video.
maybe there is a possibility that the the Koopa kids going to be fortress bosses in a similar manner to how Bowser Jr. was always the mini-boss in each citadel there was.

Anyway, I think Bowser Jr. will resume his role as the Mini Boss and the Koopalings (not Koopa Kids) will be the main castle bosses for each world.
They have wands again so I assume it will go the same way as SMB3, and Junior will be like the Boom-Booms.

I'm guessing the toads are just beta crap, but if I had to guess I'd say one of them will stay and the other will be peach ala smb2. I guess that would make this game partially encompass mario world, mario2, and mario3 all in one.

If you watch some footage on Youtube you'll see that he is indeed using a wand.

Not that it matters but i read that one of the 'koopa kids' was a boss from the uk official nintendo magazine.
That's why i referred to them as such.

thats pretty much how the nickname came to be, everyone started to call the koopalings the koopa kids, I don't see why you need to make such a huge fuss out of it since it doesn't exactly matter in anyway *inb4 but it's supposed to be a part of the cannon*
