You watch. Team Ninja and Nintendo are going to go balls out on this story. They're going to channel the dead spirits of the most eloquent authors, most balls-to-the walls action directors, and pull the heartstrings directly out of the most tear-wrenching figures of history and whatever Pixar has left over.
And a helluva lot of that is going into Mysterious Black Man.
He's going to be fucking awesome. Not as awesome as our girl Sammy here, but he's going to be the broest of bros.
And then Mysterious Black Man is going to die. After fighting alongside him, laughing at his genuinly witty one liners about chicken and water melon, and contemplating his surprisingly insightful quips about life in gorgeously rendered cutscenes -he's going to die. Whether by your hand, or some scary alien monster, Mysterious Black Man will die.
And when over you watch the trailer again, or someone asks if you remember him... well, you will. You'll remember Mysterious Black Man.
You'll remember.

You're going to look really silly if this actually happens

I'm excited for this game, although I don't feel attached to it's model of Ridley.
I'll think of something to add later then.

We know who the black man is, actually.
And I kinda agree, that model does look a little poor, but then again, it's still a year off, and they only put like a half second of speeding by footage of him in the video. They're excused for the time being, but I expect something a bit more edifying for our favorite purple space pirate.
I guess I'm just the one crazed lunatic those thought he saw the Zeta Metroid, eh?

Mario 128 was just a physics engine. It was used in Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime, and Galaxy, amongst others. A game wasn't ever intended to be released with the title "Mario 128", so I'm pretty sure "Other M" is gonna stick. Which is a pity, since it is a rather off-putting name.
I'll agree with the alpha/beta stage thing, though. I'm sure that's what the cruddy graphics can be attributed to.

I'm pretty sure the title means "The Other Metroid", mentioned at the end of the 1st Metroid for NES.

Other M is still an ass name. Still, this looks really cool specially how I loved the Ninja Gaiden games.
Now how about, you know, Metroid Dread or something?
FPS games and this are all well and good but it would be nice to have another traditional Metroid title...

Didn't Mario 128 end up becoming Pikmin?

Sorta. They got the element of having 100 objects (Pikmin) on screen from Mario 128.

Because there's never ever ever ever ever been more than 100 things on a screen before then. Ever.
@ Moz, think about it, every Metroid fanboy knows this by heart.

I'm not a metroid fanboy
I've played Zero Mission & Fusion and the 3 Primes, the only person that comes up to me is Adam (if thats even his name) the computer guy from Fusion.
And I don't think Justin Bailey was a person, wasn't it the bikini code?
