Well this is third time I had to return my copy... THE THIRD TIME! I just got my money back this time. I can't believe it. Apparently I'm not the only one, other people have returned their copies as well. There must be a huge supply of defective batches.

Other M is a dual-layered game like Brawl and Metroid Prime Trilogy. So you probably are going to have to arrange a repair with Nintendo to get your console fixed.

Anyways I'm about eight hours in. I just had a boss fight with guess who.

I like the shout out to Brawl when Ridley made Samus eat wall...after her freaking out at Ridley's sudden reappearance.

This is the thing that gets me. Other M has ripped holes into several games with all the retcons.

But I'm still enjoying the game. I love the combat system.

Yeah, I don't understand people complaining about the whole "Samus has to be authorized to use her upgrades" thing. I mean, yeah, it sounds odd, but it makes sense when you actually play the game. The ship she's on is under control of the Galactic Fed and if she wants to stay and help, she has to play by their rules. It's a simple concept that seems to be flying way over many peoples heads.

For years people complain that Nintendo games don't have voice acting, and when they finally do what they want, everyone bitches about. Basically, Nintendo is damned if they do and damned if they don't.

i hate this argument so much every time somebody says it. just because they decided to do something that the fans wanted doesn't mean we all have to suck their balls for it. they have to do a good job if they want people to be satisfied. also, i dont really know of anybody ever who complained about the lack of voice acting in metroid games

I finished the game this morning with a 46% item rate. Now I need to go for 100%.

Phantoon as the final boss? Hell yes! That fight rocked unlike the fight with Metroid Queen.

Well I finally got it to work and beat it.

It's 75% action, 24% story, and 1% exploration. My biggest gripe.

Oh and Giz if you think the enemy design for this game is bad then you must think the enemy design for Super Metroid is bad too because most of the enemies are from Super Metroid.

Oh and most of the dialogue is okay, it's Samus' monologues that are horrible and annoying... Unfortunately that's what most of the cutscenes consist of.

you have to consider that giz doesn't like any of the metroid games that isn't super metroid, and that he has ridiculously high standards. literally nobody else has (or notices) these kinds of problems, lol.
