Solink, did you miss some frames for the Hotel Mario intro? Because I can see Frame 9 - 2, then Frame 9 - 10 is right after. As well as 9 - 19 going straight to 9 - 90.

XDActually, I was thinking to start ripping from the P-O games again. :] I'll probably try to rip from the NES Punch-out game next because Super Punch-Out is one of the hardest game I have ever ripped from(I have to savestate every single sprites and open them in VSNES to take out the background) EDIT:@AJ: do you open the frames with irfanview? I don't know why but Irfanview skips frames. None are missing :/

I'm just curious Solink, but what sprite style do you think the Hotel Mario sprites are in?

Hey uh... Whenever you find the time, do you think you could rip the final boss floor for me? I mean the floor of the final hotel that bowser is fought on?
Just, you know, Whenever.

It's from the fourth generation of video-games, so I'd guess it's a 16-bits. Check out the Wikipedia article. According to the article, the CPU is a 16-bit chip, so...
Oh, Solink! I found an obscure Japanese PS1 game called...Solid Link :o

Andy meant bits per pixel. I know that the backgrounds for the Zelda games are in 8bpp and Roy has over 16 colors (but since the sprite data for CD-I seems to be embedded in the disc or compressed, I don't know if they're single sprites or layered), so the sprites are made under 8bpp (which is 256 colors) but designed with 5bpp (32 colors) in mind.
For example, the sprites for Breath of Fire 3 are encoded as 8bpp but tend to use 32 to 64 colors.

From the NES one, I believe only King Hippo, Mike Tyson/Mr Dream and Sandman are left.
Awesome work! EDIT: You already ripped Great Tiger http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/pun...heet/24660 |
