True but when the animations look really poorly done and most of the videos seem to show a bog-standard game with nothing going for it over than gore. Having friends saying it's not that great (people whom game related opinions are often the same as mine) I think I have formulated enough knowledge to put it into the "maybe one day" basket.
And even if "pro" game reviewers blow through a game as quickly as possible a game should be good even if you blow through it. Having said that, I hardly listen to many reviewers now days (unless I'm unsure on something and thus look it up). Like I said, maybe one day I'll rent this or borrow it off a friend or something - but right now I have no interest for it. Specially with InFamous looking the better game and all that.

I'm going for all the achievements now
I've already got over half the hidden orbs and over 75% of the agility orbs
the rest of the achievements are a cakewalk compared to free runner and orb hunter

I rememebr a well known magazine speaking wonders of a game called Figthing Force 64, for wich i believed them and traded my Zelda OOT for it.
never ever trusted a "pro gamer review" again in my life.

Video game reviews should never be taken too seriously anyways. Everyone has their own preferences and expectations of what a game should be like. A reviewer who leans towards multiplayer, for instance, is more likely to mark down a game that doesn't have it. Ratings are not objective, scientific measurements that indicate this game, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is good or bad. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people who look to video game reviews as the final authority on what they should play.

Well they are just paid opinions. Not really the reviewers fault, it's just how it is.
Really close to completing Shadow of Colossus now any ways, also been trying to 100,000 points on Pac-Man - currently on 70,000. Can't believe there's no second life to get... bah.

I accept reviews as reflections of the author's experience of the game, but there are people out there who take them more seriously than they should. As a consumer, I prefer to try the game for myself rather than have preconceived ideas from another person's influence.

isn't one of the achievements to beat every race with every vehicle or something like that? that would seem like an achievement not worth getting at all.

yes
BUT
there is an extremely easy to do glitch that allows you to get a different car (with guns on it) into the race, allowing you to shoot your opponent's cars
damage is still counted in this mode, so you can easily blow up opponent cars
when they blow up, they are taken out of the race
basically you kill all the opponents with the supercar and then finish the race
as soon as you cross the finish line, get out of the car
the game will count the win as the car you originally selected
start the same race with a different car
when the race loads the supercar will still be there at the finish line
get out of your car and go get in the supercar
kill everyone and finish the race
get out
counts for the second car
rinse, repeat with every car and track, thus allowing you to get Street Racer and Street Racer Elite quickly and easily.
It's what I'm doing right now. Extremely easy.
