What are you playing?
Most of my times goes towards testing my own games that I will never finish anyways...
But when I feel like playing GOOD games I might play stuff like Saints Row the Third and Skyrim...
Why do I feel so out of place here!?

It's... not uncommon to test games when you buy them. I do it all the time with new games I get. It's a great way to save money, since if you try the game the day you buy it, you can just return it in most cases the next day.

And if it's an older game you could trade it in towards a game you know you'll like. So far, this has been a very rewarding practice for me. The only game I've had to pay actual cash for from September 2011 to now was a $20 DS game.

I managed to get Kirby Mass Attack, Professor Layton 4, Kirby's Return To Dream Land, Sonic Generations, Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword, Mario Kart 7, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Sonic 06(Don't ask), de Blob 2, Viva Pinata all for $0, all credit. I also discounted Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 to $20 with store credit.

I'm more surprised I had enough games I didn't care about to save what is roughly a $400 value.

Just beat X5, fantastic, and now playing X6. Just beat High Max in Blizzard Wolfang's level. I am so playing the rest of the games (no I'm not gonna listen to you guys about X7 and X8 Tongue), then will get Zero Collection and play Command Mission.

Haven't been able to pick any new games up lately, but I'm currently playing through Professor Layton and the Unwound Future for the second time. Great game.

X7 is the only one that's hated, just FTR.

Well it looked like some people said that X8 wasn't really necessary in the series or something about it wasn't good, IIRC.

finally completed Doom 3.

i do recomend it in every aspect i could posibly think of it. even if you're not fond of first person shooters, you'd find yourself completely trapped into its well designed ambient and difficulty curve.

I've picked up ActRaiser and Super Metroid for the first time (this is also my first experience with the Metroid series) and have been working on them for the past week or so, and lemme tell you, these are probably my new favorite Super NES games. Also working on cleaning up in Skyward Sword to get 100%.

Where are you hearing that?

X8 is considered to be the best PS2 Mega Man X game, and in some cases the best X game since X5, since X6 was where the series went downhill.

I dunno then. X6 seems very good to me (even despite that mantis enemy urrrrgh). However one thing I find slightly unfair is that while most of Zero's weapons are attacks and can thus be used as weakness weapons against some Mavericks, a few others such as the double jump one aren't actual weapons, thus forcing Zero to use his Z Saber against a few bosses anyway making it more difficult than it probably should.

Though a funny thing I have discovered is that in X4, 5 and 6, I've grown so used to Zero from playing as him in every game since he first appeared as a fully playable character, that I actually find X harder to use than him. Tongue This especially shows in Duff McWhalen's stage, when you are attacking the U-555. You have to charge and shoot, charge and shoot to destroy each of those gosh dang annoying cannons or else the missiles will annihilate you, when it's so much easier to go up and slice 'n dice 'em with powerful saber slashes (which can also destroy the missiles!) or a single jumping spin slash and remove them instantly.

Well, yeah. Zero is much easier to use than X simply because his saber is easier to use and spam, and he also has a double jump in addition to dashes.

Even in X8, Zero is a notch above his companions. X is only useful for his armors.

Finished Professor Layton and The Last Specter, awesome as always. Trying to rack up Picarats and basically finish all of the puzzles now, but I know that the minigames will get in the way of me finishing all of Layton's Challenges (again).

I'm also moderately enjoying London Life. It's not the most intriguing game, but it has 100+ hours of gameplay and hey, you get to talk to Stachenscarfen, so how bad can it be? Tongue

Pokemon white - still not as good as G/S, but it's the first pokemo I've enjoyed since G/S

Ultimate Marvel 3 - oh god I love this game, even though I'm pretty bad. maining Dante / Sent / Doom and Doom / Sent / Firebrand

Tales of Symphonia - just started

X6 is a buggy piece of shit with absolutely no thought towards level design, enemy placement, boss patterns or basically anything. Zero is buggy and OP and has a million coding exploits that make bossfights a cakewalk. Guard Shell is actually broken and makes it possible to actually walk through enemies and take no damage no matter what because it's badly coded. X's armors are worthless except for the Falcon Armor, the final boss is completely stupid, and Gate is probably the most unfun boss fight ever made.

X6 is not good. Sorry. X6 is the second worst X game, the absolute worst being X7.
it was also released literally nine months after X5 and there was absolutely no bug testing done (and it shows)
