WIP Topic: TSR Challenge 8: Enemy Games

I pretty much drew this out first, I doubt'll finish before the deadline without a pallete ref of King Hippo and his people; he was considered pretty much a villan during the airtime of Captain N: The Game Master.

It's a minigame where he protects his pinapples from the equally obese young that try to steal his pineapple grove. Once finished, I might actually code since these type of games are easy to develop. It's a WIP, and it might take awhile to finish the beachy tiles.

Why beach tiles? Pineapples don't grow in beaches..????

Well, there are pinapple trees that grow in the jungles that are next to beaches, or they could be imports from when King Hippo was in the city and saved them, and brought them back to the "kingdom".

And to explain how the concept could work with Gears of War, there was actually one point in time that the Locust and Cog were suppose to team up and make an alliance. For whatever reason(they never explained it), they never formed this alliance and the Locust Queen claimed that they had betrayed them. This game would show the viewpoints of the Locust and show what made this betrayal. Oh and this is a custom style which is full of details.

It was either this or Banjo Kazooie. If nobody likes this idea I'll go with Banjo.

Alright, here's a couple really newb-ish questions:
1) For submissions, is what you want a sprite picture of what our "games" would look like?
2) Do the sprites have to be custom, or can they include edits or rips?

Just wondering is all, and if I can, I'll think about joining.

1) yes, that is what a mockup is.
2) lol no. customs only, this is a challenge to test your spriting skills, not rips.

Gosh dang I'm such a slow spriter. And yes, Locust do have nipples. I didn't realise this til I started looking up references to study. I may not be able to capture all of the Locust's details but I'll try to capture as much as I can.

I made those some time ago, and when I saw this challenge, I thought about using them. They are custom-made, but they still use the format for playable characters in Final Fantasy V. So would that be alright?

It's not exactly a reverse-Mario game, but it's a "Snake" game staring Wiggler.
I hope this still falls under the guidelines.
