What 2D fighting games have nice styled sprites?

If beat em ups counts, i'd say Alien Versus Predator its quite beatiful, and those Aliens are delicius. same as Armored Warriors's mechanical desings.

I don't think beat em ups count but AVP's sprites are pretty fighter-ish so I think it would fit in more than most
