hey you guys remember the dead or alive movie
it made the 1995 Street Fighter movie look even awesomer
"We've installed microchips that stabilize the person's stamina and on the monitor you'll see the lifebar. When the lifebar is fully red the person will be unable to move!"
also this unforgettable scene in the opening with the usage of purple wigs and expert logic
Quote:Ryu Hayabusa: Princess Kasumi, your brother is dead. Your destiny is to lead your people.
Kasumi: I will not believe he is dead, until I see his body.
Ryu Hayabusa: There is no body.
Kasumi: Then he is not dead.
that said, x-men vs. street fighter would make such an amazing over-the-top CG movie that it's not even funny
It'd be even better if the Streetfighter people could have their campy costumes from the 1995 movie except with Guile actually having Guile hair
Marvel VS. Streetfighter would be better, what with Captain America and Spiderman in the mix as well
especially with Cyber-Akuma and Dan
but Marvel VS. Capcom would be just plain dumb
because you'd have mech pilots, samurai and little robot boys running around
Oh
you know, no Street Fighter movie would be better than this

Jeri Ryan? She's... friggin' ancient, kid.
And George Lucas is no longer capable of directing.
I said fronted. Throw the right kind of company at something and it just might be gold if you get a good director. Micheal Bay comes to mind. Hell even Spielberg money and production could produce the film of our dreams for Metroid.
And I know she's ancient, that's why we'd need a woman with a domineering but lustful body type would do the trick. But most actress's these days don't have that. At least not that I've seen.

Ah, my mistake about Lucas.
I'm not really sure on Jeri Ryan's skills, though. She was able to play a robot. That doesn't say much about her acting skills. I haven't seen her in anything but Voyager, so I can't say about how well she's able to emote and such.

TimeSplitters. Vin Diesel would make a wicked awesome Sgt. Cortez.
From the other way round, Shoot 'Em Up would make a kickass game.

Every time I see Johnny Knoxville I think of this.
Even before I knew Travis was inspired on him.

I think its possible to make a movie about almost any video game. You just need the right stuff, people and know-how. Which just never happens.

This would be an amazing movie but the story feels better suited to an anime series so it could be drawn out and expanded upon

It's completely subjective to who is directing, producing etc. Anyone who knows what they're doing could take the worse piece of shit and make it int a good film. An example of directors making a game:
Michael Bay's Shadow of the Colossus - ew wtf go away distinguished gentleman
Guillermo del Toro's Shadow of the Colossus - Yes please.
