There is already a moveset planned out by Link-Guy so we won't need that one!

Could we have, perhaps, one more SEGA 3rd party character?

Its not a question of a moveset here. That should not be the basis of your decision. No it should be based on the character's worth and importance to A. The franchise B. Nintendo itself.

Decide characters first, movesets later.

I don't think the Pokemon Trainer should be cut because IMO, Pokemon Trainer represents the Pokemon Series as a whole better than any single Pokemon ever could. I also think Toon Link and Wolf are worthy of being in but with movesets to capitalize on their differences from the characters they're clones of. Toon Link has been in multiple Zelda games in that form, he has plenty of items and weapons he can use to have different moves from Link.

Lucario and Mewtwo, I'm on the fence. On one hand, I believe Mewtwo should not have been cut in the first place. On the other hand, I think Lucario should stay to have a Pokemon from a Gen that isn't First. You guys will have to decide on this one cause I'm torn.

And I fully support the inclusions of Krystal, Claus, Little Mac and Megaman. I also wouldn't mind seeing Starfy.

I think ROB's Down B should alternate Between Stack-it-Up and Gyromite.

I agree with the Pokemon Trainer idea. I was just worried about coding on his part. As for Lucario and Mewtwo, I'm with you 100%. I like Mewtwo much more, but I see that Lucario was added because of the new generations. I'm likewise torn. We can have both, but then we'd have to add more characters to other franchises. Namely Mario. Because having more Pokemon characters than Mario characters seems like a cardinal sin to me.

I'd like to keep characters as close to their in-game counterparts as possible. Teeks has a good point about Young Link though that is worth considering.

Pokemon Trainer really shouldn't be that hard, it's just three characters instead of two like Zelda/Sheik.

But I think it's a good idea. It's just Gyromite but with blocks.

I honestly think that we should just build upon the entire existing Smash roster, with some changes in the characters here and there. That's why I gave those examples; Both Young and Toon Link could be in as long as we gather some of the other aspects from the series. Nintendo never used the ocarina or the masks in SSB, or the four swords. Areas like that are where we come in =). There's a lot of stuff they could've used from the Earthbound/Mother series, I think. Maybe we could use some of that.

@Teeks: I thought the same thing about PKMN Trainer Genki ^_^

Also, I was thinking a Cooltrainer ♀ or ♂ would be....well...cool. And he/she could have some Johto or Hoenn Pokemon that aren't playable yet. I worry that there'd be too many Pokemon representatives. But seeing that there's already a mess of Pokemon, having just a few more wouldn't hurt too much Genki ^_^

I know this may sound weird, but It would be kinda cool to have Psyduck. Pikachu is Ash's main Pokemon, so why can't Misty's be in SSB too (Correct me if Psydick isn't Misty's main)?

I think we're thinking too much like nintendo here. we don't have to advertise for new generations, or keep the 3rd parties even, or any of that stuff. what we should be thinking is what people are doing, when it will be done, and what will be funnest to play as.

I'd say because the Super Smash Bros. series focuses on the games rather than the anime.

Come on people. Why build a clone machine, and then clone brawl? We would get made fun of.

Those cuts are all necessary. Toon link and young link are just versions of the original link. The rest are either clones or aren't of any favor to anyone. The limit for original characters should be 25. The rest should be additional and third party. If you go with the selection we have now, people are going to overlook this game.

Not something we would want. Don't cut most of the characters i listed, and you will have a clone on your hands

Shouldn't Gooey be a definte character.

Just dump the entire vote on list and just add PT and mew2(king).
