If it were Gameboy from Captain N I would fully support the idea.
But he was a different colour. And sometimes had arms.

I... don't think it's needed to do that, the walk animation is smooth enough imo. Also, it would be a better idea to make other animations first than focusing in only one.

The reason being the special moves are totally unique, and I don't believe the TV series had anything similar to them. I've added the running sprites. It doesn't look any good I know, but it's a shot.

If anyone is interested my vision of the Mii, his moves are focused the limits of the Wii Remote + Nunchuck.
He would always hold a Wii Remote. WR = Wii Remote, +N = +Nunchuck [it's what he's holding for the attack.] AAA combos (WR + N) Boxing A-> (WR) [Like Peach's] Baseball Bat, Gold Club, Tennis Racket Special (B) (WR) Sword Special Side (WR + N = Wii Zapper) Gun Something along the lines of that..

Just like Gorsal I will make an 8-Bit Geno for Gameboy's Final Smash!

shouldn't it be monochrome since this is gameboy?
Since the hair is the "modern" design (really, there's almost no changes to this possum except for that blonde hair, glove color change, "slimness" and the sword). I decided to add it, on the lower right corner, but the pallete is experimental.
