That's pretty good, Estian. I will admit, I was really questioning the stance you had given Ridley initially, but now that I see it in motion, I now realize how awesome it really is.
By the way, I've noticed that this topic has really picked up lately. Is there some new recent motivation for everybody involved?

Nah, that was just an effect.
There could be several causes:
1. Gooey got finished. However, this one would be a delayed thing.
2. Summer break. But this project has seen several of those, too.
3. Coincidence. Everyone just happens to be not busy now.
4. Bribery. Everyone is secretly being paid. If this is true, how come I haven't seen any of that money?
For me, it's mostly number 2.
Ridley looks sweet. Can't wait to see the wings in action.

This project is coming along faster than the actual Super Smash Bros. Project.
Keep it up!

So, I've been meaning to get a portrait done for Gooey that's better than the little thing I threw into the sheet, but I never got around to it until yesterday. I tried to make it in the same style as those of that guy who made all of the Brawl sprites (AbyssWolf on DA), since those seem to be the most popular.
If it's good enough (and it fits the style enough) I'll add it on my list of things to add in when I update the Gooey sheet one last time.

I only see three little things. Her arm should get thinner at her wrist so it looks more like an arm. Her coloring, specifically her hair, might work better with the style with a saturation-boost, but I think that one's up for debate. Something about the colors seem off to me, though...
Match the timing of her left knee bend with the one you set for her right knee bend (you only have the left knee band in one frame, whereas the right knee bends more fittingly in three frames, which looks weird), and I think it looks good!

Man I love animating.
Well, these are edits of Angelglory's sprites, which were based on Zelda...btw, I didn't intend to make her right (our left) knee bend. ;
And I hate animating.

GraphicsGale makes animating with pieces as easy as pie. At least, compared to what I used to use for animations (Pivot Stickfigure Animator. Ugh.), it's the flippin' Holy Grail.

Looks good enough to me.
It's kinda funny how, looking back, those sprites (AbyssWolf's SSBB stuff) don't all look that good...
Also, GraphicsGale costs money for animated GIFs.

Well, I did it because of their popularity, not necessarily because they're the best.
And: This is the internet. Nothing that costs money can't be gotten for free if you happen to live on a ship, if you catch my drift.
(But, be careful, it'll give you cancer.)
You mean, tug-boat operators get free stuff? Maybe I'll go join the Navy and get some free stuff...
Anyway, I don't particularly feel good tug-boating this kind of stuff, so I'll just do with what I've got.

Hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

I use Paint as well; right now I just use GG for animating and minor touch-ups - Paint is where the grunt-work is done.
