I made a strikers uniform on the page before this one. I do agree with you on the Baby Mario, but then we would need a different idel and a bunch of other animations for Yoshi, which means more sprite-work to do.

No, not Baby Mario as Mario's alt. Mario's alt is Dr. Mario. Baby Mario riding on Yoshi's back as Yoshi's alt.

Baby Mario on Yoshi would be cool, maybe give him the orange arms from SMW too? A bit of a throwback to the character's origins?

For Peach: I always thought her outfit from Super Mario Sunshine was the best for an alternate.

...That's the whole point of this topic. We're discussing costumes for characters, not pallette swaps. In Brawl, everyone had pallette swaps (Luigi with orange hat + shirt, blue Kirby, pink Yoshi, ect). Those are just the colors changes. A cotume is like Wario's plumber clothes compared to his biker clothes. It's more complicated than just a regular recolor. We want to give every character (or most characters) a costume (like Wario's biker clothes) that would involve a lot of editing (giving Mario a lab coat and no hat, Making Bowser skeletal, ect).

what do you think? And if there is are different colors for the costumes, may I suggest that we change the baby for each? like Green Yoshi gets Baby Mario, Red gets Baby DK, Yellow, Baby Bowser, Pink, Baby Peach Orange (if we are going to) Baby Daisy, Blue Baby Luigi, and Light Blue/Cyan Baby Wario.

I think giving the alt costume an alt costume is way overkill. If anything, just change Baby Mario's hat to something referencing another character, like groon, yellow, or purple, or just do random colors.

Yoshi's head should overlap with Baby Mario so it doesn't look pasted on.

That actually looks really good, but Yoshi's body shouldn't be overlapped by baby Mario's, since Baby Mario's behind/on Yoshi's back.

I think, since this is an SSB game, baby Mario would know that its a fight.

Example:

SMW2: When Yoshi uses his tongue, Baby Mario would just sit there.

SSB: When Yoshi uses his tongue, Baby Mario should face forward and point his hand infront of Yoshi, like normal Mario would if he was riding him.

It would be a pretty interesting idea.
