I hate to do a topic like this

I improved it. Tell me if the face is better, and more important, in style.

did a very small edit to Luigi.
I was also very bored...(but I believe that the Yoshi Series needs a new character(s) *coughgetridofonedkcharactercough*)

To fat and tall I think.

I'm pretty sure Luigi is taller and skinnier.

I'm pretty sure that's a bad reference.

Maybe but still I'm pretty sure I'm right.

This isn't a good quality example, but here's proportions.

Hey guys, I'm trying to make a tutorial, but I don't know who to sprite in it. I want it to be someone fairly simple, but still shows off all the known style guidelines.
Anybody have any ideas? Also, Luigi is indeed a bit plump, but he's still thinner than Mario.

Hm... I thought Yoshi was too upright. He needs to be slouching a little.

I would personally suggest working backwards from one that we already have made for the sake of the tutorial. But even then I don't think any of them are perfected yet anyways.

Yeah there's a lack of consistency that's yet to be discovered.

DO sonic. He would have to be the easiest in my eyes.
So are we going to restart the threads? (10-23-2009, 10:18 PM)Mist th Wrote: So are we going to restart the threads? No, just post the stuff in the threads. Also, I think I have the general guidelines behind the style about right. + Black outline around outside of sprite. Separated objects also have black outlines. + 3 shades maximum. An extra shade can be used if it is also used as a shade for other colors. + High saturation, usually above 200. Exceptions: grays and whites. If you guys can think of any other "rules" for the style, please bring them up. |
