Sonic 1 3D remake?
Hm. Hopefully it will be good.
Maybe if they jazz up the levels and add in spindash (sth:G the gba had it but it sucked badly) to make it a different experience, it'll be pretty cool.

But sonic 1 still is nowhere near as good as sonic 2...
they should've remade that instead.

plus, nothing really says it's going to be a remake. What, just because of Sonic 1's title screen? It's iconic, all classic Sonic games have the same title screen but with a few differences.
GHZ is also an iconic stage, there are lots of other zones with the same checkered tiles, like Seaside Hill for instance. And the trailer said "New Adventure". So I think it's not gonna be a remake.

Remake or not, SEGA will not pull it off rightly, even though the name of the project is "Needlemouse", Sonic's original name.

Why do people think remake , anyone read anything on this game, a new adventure, so lets put this remake to rest.

Also yeah the artwork is weird though judging by the images name it seems just to be concept art.

And I do have faith this will work, the daytime stages were the best I've seen from Sonic in a long time so its not as if they can't make good games.

As much as I would like this to be good, pretty much any game I hope is going to be good turns out bad, so this will probably be no different.

I'll be annoyed if this was a remake of 1. It's not the best Sonic game. Even if they did, they had better add a SHITLOAD of levels and stuff to do (in addition to Time and Score attacks which were made standard since Advance and highlighted since Rush).

Shit's unlikely to be done by Dimps, but if the trick system and boost gauge return, I'll be happy. Only if it's Sonic (or Blaze) again though; not sure how I feel about Knuckles or Tails having that ability. Sure as fuck not Amy or Cream.

In fact, it would be extra-awesome if the controls are tailored a bit for any playable characters included.

Hey let's all just agree that all those games were a million times better than what we got now... And that's an understatement.

Either way just because its a 2D style game doesn't mean its going to be good. Like my Sonic Rivals post early.

I'll bet this game, like so many other recent titles, will be all about "OMG SUPER FAST GO GO GO!" The old games had perfect levels designs that didn't always make you go in a straight line. ¬_¬
