It's blocky and the pose is stiff. Both his arms seem to come from behind his torso. Some of the lines are unnaturally jagged or straight (back of the hat, shadow on face). The lightsource seems to come from dead ahead (which is sort of weird) making the shadow on the face impossible. The feet facing directly apart is INCREDIBLY unnatural.

Thanks Darkshot. Updated with your help. I want to get this first pose done before sheeting it. C+C?

Arms are gross, arms should never curve that way unless they are tentacles.
The character is barrel chested, lacks detail or major shading on his chest, the hat needs some outline and detail work as well. Legs overly stiff and straight. Overall, it looks like he's made of wood.
I tried putting a slight bend in his for where his knees are supposed to be, although it looks like he's trying to sway from flat foot to tip toe. Also added a few pixels to the end of the arm to try to make it less curved. I removed the hat, I'll work on it separate from the body, and I added some hair to cover his face so he won't appear faceless. I'm sorry JL, but I'm not sure what barrel chested means. Yay for Google. And Tyvon, I'm working on a new palette. I purposely made it drab, but to make it interesting, I'm finding a new one.

Bump. I removed the arms due to the fact I can't think of a position for them in the current pose. I brightened the palette, and rounded the front of the head too. I also redid the whole sprite from the waist down.
I had no idea what was happening in the sprite so i started from scratch:
Anatomy: youve gone for a disproportionate figure (and theres nothing wrong with that), but it still has to resemble a human body Pose and positioning: self explanatory, some of yours was trying to face between the front and the side and other bits were just facing to the side Colours: more hue shifting and difference in shades :d tbqh i did a pretty shit job, ill prob fix it later.

Okay Raytheon. This may sound stupid from my part, but would you please explain to me what hue shifting is?

It's when you are altering the Hue value when choosing another shade.
mostly youll alter the shade to shift more towards purple or blue when darkening it.
if you check the values of the colours i provided youll find the red/orange is shifted to purple, and the grey is shifted to blue.

Update. Excuse me Raytheon for stealing your palette while I fiddle with some of the values. I redid the whole sprite. Now though, he seems more like a business man, and less than a mobster to me.
