BUMP!!! *Sigh*Boy, it's been a while, huh? Well, a lot of things have happened to me as of recently, and it all started with a malware virus... Long story short, I've lost a biiig chunk of data. Boy this sure reminds me of something similiar, doesn't it?!?

...Oh well, I've managed to save a part of it, at least. And guess what's between the salvaged stuff?
That's right, time for a new sheet! ...Wait, couldn't I have just said that?

Scientist(Metal Slug 4)

From MS4. Appears in Mission 1, where they shoot you with a special projectile that turns you into a monkey.

As far as I know, the sprites in the sheet are ALL of its graphics. Also included is that melee attack he uses when he gets close to you(Yep, turns out they have a melee attack), and its outcome if it misses.
Just as a warning, some of the animations were slightly edited from the original.

As always, check the first post for the sheet. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to retrieve some lost data for a while.

Okay people, gather up. I have something to say here.
Now then, last time I mentioned something about a malware virus that struck my computer. We had to completely format the hard drive, meaning that most of my data went lost. History repeating itself, anybody?**
I don't really wanna get into details, but I'll tell you this... I'm not trusting my stuff to an external hard disk ever again. Period. T_T

With that said, all of my sprite-ripping equipment also went down the... well, you get the idea... meaning it's going to take a good while before there'll be any new rips from me. I'm currently trying to restore whatever I can, which considering the extent of the damage is probably gonna take a while.

So yeah, looks like there ain't going to be any new rips for a while. Stay on the alert, however, as I'm planning to make a return with something big... hopefully a double header.
One of which just happens to be a custom sprite... remember that custom King Bill from last page?

Yeah, something similar happened to me a while back. The hard drive on my computer went kaput and corrupted the thousands of graphic files on there by apparently adding junk to the hexidecimal coding of it (at least that's what my technician told me). Now I've got to go through every single one of my SWF's, remove like...150 bits of header from it, and decompile it to get all my graphics back. It'd be so much easier if someone could come up with a program that would automatically edit these files to their usable format again.

I hope you get a more reliable hard drive next time.

And those who make malware need to be castrated and then drawn and quartered.

Anyways, what can I say, folks? The "central" is back up and running, and another data crisis has been averted... That, and it's snowing in here. Been a long time since we've seen a bit of snow in Rome...

...But enough of that. Today we've got a new sheet and a couple of updated ones. Have some ID!

Hovering Vehicle(Metal Slug 5)

*And yes, that "accent" is intentional.*

Ah yes, this... just what kinda vehicle is it anyway? Appears in the first area of Mission 2, popping out to destroy any bridge you cross.
You can't damage it, and yet there's one in an unused area which CAN be damaged. Chances are you'll be seeing the "Continue?" screen before even reaching it, though(Those who've seen that unused area, you've got the point.*).

As per usual, all frames of animation are present. Aside from the turning anim, first three of every line are the original frames, unedited from the sprite viewer, and last three are edited versions of the first three, to make the animation slightly more fluid.

And that's the new sheet in a nutshell. For the edited sheets, instead, we have...

°1 - Weapon SFX("Metal Slug" Series)
Just a minor update, but it turns out the Shotgun palette in the other games is different than the one in MS5. Decided to include that palette for easy recoloring.
Once again, thanks to esreveR for bringin' this to my attention.

°2 - Eri Kasamoto("Metal Slug" Series)
Well, I did say I'd fix the Tiaf660 sprites before putting them in the sheet at the second-to-last update, right? And it's about time I did too.
Yeah, for some reason the sprite viewer has the sprites of the characters driving the Tiaf660 differently colored from the in-game palettes. Check for yourself if you don't believe me.

BUMP, YO~!! I see a new sheet on the horizon, everyone. Here's the ID card.

HUD Interface - Miscellaneous Stuff("Metal Slug" Series)
As I said in the sheet, didn't really expect this one... but yup, it's a collection of the various flashing signs/prompts and miscellanea that appears in the HUD area(With some exceptions) during the game. Couple of notes on the sheet:

1. "Mission Start!" Font
Just so you know, the sprites in the green BG are edited sprites, made for sake of completion... and kicks(This one's more believable).
And yes, I know that question mark is sloppy. I did the best I could there.

2. Slug Vehicle: "IN/OUT" Icons
Same story in here, green BG = extension frames. Just a little extra.

Just a little filler until I get something big done. Yup, that big thing is still coming, guaranteed.

"Steel Beast ZERO" ALPHA Unit - Tri-tank 'UNION'(Metal Slug 7)

NEW FORMAT TEST! Now you can click on the anim for the full sheet.

*Whew*...'Kay, this one wasn't easy. Oh, just so you know the name isn't official. Once again, it's made up(Just like the division name, huh?). Here's the scoop(Copypasta-ed from MSDB) on this triple threat.

Quote:INFO: Boss(es) of "Mission 5: Ruins Base". This behemoth is composed of three separate units. The HEAD unit(Unit 01) is equipped with missile launchers as the main artillery(One inside the head and two on the body's sides) and a mortar on the back as secondary weaponry, used on critical situations. The airship unit(Unit 02) uses a machinegun situated on the front/inside to attack enemy units, along with a LASER gun mounted on the top "fin". The SLAVE unit(Unit 03)'s main artillery is a multiple bomb launcher mounted on the tank's sides, used to eliminate any remaining enemy units.

Pretty much complete, it's only missing the core projectile's hit SFX, but JEEZ LAWEEZ are its last frames a pain in the butt to assemble. Hoping to fix that soon.

Still wondering if someone will get the double reference. Oh well...

In any case, here's the ID card.

Mission 5: The Lastditch Resistance - Area 2: Subway(Metal Slug 5)

I can sense something bad happened back there... this place's a wreck!
But yeah, it's a background rip of the subway area in MS5's final mission(You know, the place where you find the Spider Slug), complete with animated parts and everything. Also includes the part where you disembark(Probably using the wrong term) the TIAF660 as a bonus.

HOLY $%#@ I STILL LIVE!!

...Yeah, bump time fellas. There's a new sheet up, appearently... what rip is it going to be this time? ...It's not a rip. It's a custom.
It's been a long time since I've done this, so I don't know if the submission form for custom sprites is still the same. Anyway...

King Bill[NEW Super Mario Bros. WII]

Cue the theme "NUCLEAR FUSION"**, everyone. We've got something big coming here.
Well, I did say it was coming. And you know, I wonder if anybody else ever tried to sprite a King Bill before... January of this year, maybe?

Anyway, on to the sprite. You may notice the sprite looks different from the original look. Creative license(Or something) already took over from the sketching phase, looks like. Should be up to scale, though.
The sheet comes with smaller versions meant to be used in the background, along with detailed descriptions for the palette entries.

With that said, I hope you guys enjoy. Just click on the anim(Or go to the first post) for the full sheet.

Oh, by the way, this thing's still waiting.

*First up, the "Gigants" part goes to a little nickname I've made for this thing, "KILLER Gigant".
