Front and Back. No text or picture.
Forget it now that is awesome Koopaul maybe we should use this one.

You guys should be able to name what games go next to those years. Hehehe.
Just wondering, is there a way you could cram even more information on there?

Well you can make the text really small. I don't think we need that much info, just the important stuff.
Rosalina:
Owner of the Comet Observatory, Rosalina cares for many Lumas that she finds on her journey across the universe. Saddened by her past, she returns to her home planet every hundred years. In Super Mario Galaxy, Rosalina and her Lumas aided Mario on his quest to save Peach and stop Bowser.
There that's good enough right?

It's good, but won't it look a tad cramped?

For more text on the back of the card, it could just scroll up or down.

Seconded/thirded. Seems a bit like the SSB64 "Characters" section, I like it, and it looks the perfect size for PA.

Is this ok for a card background design...I'm not sure, but yeah...
I don't think we need a background. The character art will be a custom pixel art.

I did this because I was thinking because that just a character picture in the card is a little dull, and boring, and has been done so many times, both official trading cards and fake ones like on the internet...so I made the backgrounds, thinking new design in mind.
I think it takes away from the pixel art, honestly. Maybe if we can find a way to make it work, but I'll leave that up to Koopaul.

Ok, its Koopaul's decision.

I'm keeping a plain background but you can change the color of the card just like you could change the background for trophies in Melee and Brawl.

I was bored and I've done a 'example' card.
We're searching something like this?
I've forgot the Metroid's symbol in the card back.
Edit: With a simple background:
