Hi! I'm a fairly new ripper with little experience. Recently, I've started ripping from Genesis and SNES games. Here are two complete sheets I have ATM.
The Screaming mimis from Splatterhouse 2:

And the blood Puppets from the same game:

(Both linked due to size)
At this point, my main purpose in posting these is criticism and stuff. I mean, I am submitting them since neither are on the site.
Hope to post more sheets soon!

Did you use Gens to rip these?
I ask, because they look a little big (like maybe 2 or 3 times the size).
Also, did you use any filters on your emulator? They look blurry.
I ask because Gens is probably one of the stupidest emulators when it comes to screenshotting (it's pretty much using Print Screen [so if anything is in the window, it gets caught in the image, as opposed to other emulators that take a picture of ONLY the virtual screen]).
Edit: I don't want to discourage you, because it has potential. Just be careful with some emulators (like Gens), and you might possibly align the screaming mimis a bit better when you fix the image problem (also, don't be afraid of blank space, but do try to reduce it as much as you can. And don't be afraid to some it if eliminating it would ruin the organizing of your sheet).
Edit 2: Sorry about that. While sadly you may need to redo these, (this will be assuming the sheets were of acceptable quality) the bloodpuppet sheet could possibly be arranged better by moving the acid to below the dieing animation either with a smaller box or without the box and your credit tag below the puddle of gore that I assume WAS the puppet. This would help reduce the size of the sheet by having a large portion you could remove from the bottom (as I said, don't be afraid of blank space, but reduce where you feasibly can).

I used Megasis to rip these. Couldn't get Gens to work at all (And thanks for the warning about that.)
As for the size, you're right. The sprites are big, but not that big. And I'll work on the alignment- it is pretty bad.
The negative space comments are good too- the Screaming Mimi sheet was expanded as I ripped the sprites, whereas the Blood Puppet sheet was just put on a Paint window. I'll fix that one ASAP since it's so easy.
And don't worry about discouraging me- comments like that were the reason I posted this!

Just remember, if you're going to rip from the emulator (screenshots), take a few practice shots to see how the emulator takes the pictures. If you have filters on, most likely the pictures will also have the filters applied. (Worse case if you like playing with filters, you can have another copy of the emulator and have the settings without filters).
Never really used Megasis, but another warning with Gens as I said anything in the window gets caught, if you resize the window to something weird (like x1.5 by x2.3 size, images will end up at the weird dimensions also [Genesis screen dimensions are 256 x 224 pixels and 320 x 224 pixels (it switches from game to game and even scene to scene [screenshotting judge on an emulation site due to site not having had a lot of game have screenshots and Genesis was one of the last systems we finished screenshotting for])]
So, maybe with Megasis the window (and fullscreen is the same as window size for Gens) dimensions aren't a problem (for all I know, its like almost every other emulator and screen captures are of the screen dimensions of the system), but just remember filters could ruin you screenshots for sprite ripping.
Don't worry about the ripping, that's the easy part. The hard part is arranging them No, seriously. Arranging them is the hardest part :o

Yeah, both are the wrong size, way wrong. I don't think we can accept it
I use Megasis too and when you start it for the first time it already got the true size of the games, I think there's one option to don't stretch the image when resize the window, but I can't check it right now. If you can't get it right, delete it and download it again, easier way to solve any problem XD

Found the problem with size- and boy, is it dumb. I had the screen size set to 2x and forgot about it.
I re-ripped the Screaming Mimis since they were the toughest. Here's the re-rip- hopefully it's up to your standards now.

Up next, the easy-to-rip Blood Puppets (Plus extra enemies in that fight.) and a level by level enemy rip for castle of Illusion.

Now that's great!
Just crop the image and get rid of the useless empty space at the bottom and you're done!

All right, here it is mostly-cropped and with the empty space at the bottom done.

Now with icon!
And to reply to something from another topic, the reason I personally am ripping Splatterhouse actually has nothing to do with the upcoming game (Which needs to come out already. >_>) but with a fan game I help with, Mushroom Kingdom fusion. We've had a Splatterhouse level in the plans for a while, so I figured I might as well rip some stuff for it whilst I was ripping Genesis games.

That explains a lot, it's only a coincidence. Not complaining about it XD
Now that's ok to submit, but I'd re-organize it to have even less blank spaces. But it's only personal taste now

Oh wow. I heard of that (Mushroom Kingdom Fusion), good luck with the ripping then, and thank you for submitting the sprites to here. You could have kept the Screaming Mimis for yourself and the MKF team, but you chose to post them here. I'm no one special, but let the team know there are people wishing you all good luck on the game.
By the way, if you organize the sheet a little bit more, if you're using MS Paint, hold down shift when using the line tool to make straight lines. Having straight lines could help reduce a little more empty space from the sheet. Also, watch your text, the third drowning sprite is hard to tell if its over the dot in the letter "i", if the dot is over the sprite, or if got rid of the dot (personally, I expand my canvas and write text in a separate location and then move it carefully to where I want to put it [granted I don't type text very often in my sheets, but sheet title, credit, and few times I've posted notes])
Also, you can also take advantage of shared poses for palette swaps when organizing (I don't know, like the standing poses in a column, walking in another, etc. You do get blank spots for missing frames of a color, but anyone who uses the sheet could probably fill in the gaps by recoloring the "clubbed to death Purple Screaming Mimi" to green...)
Ultimately, just double check the third drowning animation (since I said its a little too close to the nearby text) [redo it if you need to (just that one if you need to [bonus if you didn't throw away the snapshot file, XD if you used Print Screen])], and how you arrange the sheet is up to you.

I'll keep all that info in mind, guys. I didn't think of the walking pose because only the purple one actually walks with it- the green doesn't use it at all, and the yellow only uses it when it's hit and flying through the air. Quite odd uses for the same poses.
Anyways, here's some more rips:

These two were ripped by me and are already on the site as well as most bosses except Level 5 (Clock Tower) which is ripped by Ryan and Mizerbell who hasnĀ“t been ripped yet. The rest of the rips however look good.

In other hand, you got another five fingers (ok, bad joke)
Now the spacing is looking better, keep it on.
