Girl Gamers/General Fighting Game Thread

I wish I was half decent at fighting games. Not enough of them come out for Nintendo systems and I never really have the money to spend on a new system or at the arcade, otherwise I'd play them more often. :c

the only fighting games i have are brawl, melee, and Naruto ninja council. I hear soulcalliber 2 is good.

I heard soul calibur 2 was a best seller on the gamecube. It looks pretty amazing with the graphics

most people also prefer the gamecube version of SCIV because Link is fucking cool in that game, whereas Heihachi (PS2) has a steep learning curve and Spawn (XBOX) is just a broken piece of shit

not a big fan of those games. I prefer something that requires you to think outside the box, such as the zelda games.

I got the GC version because Link was cool and I didn't like Heihachi. Had I had a Xbox though, chances are I would have gotten that because although Spawn is broken, he's still fucking amazing and I could rock ANYONE with him.

But as far as the GC version goes, I either pick Link, Yunsung, or Maxi because Link and Yunsung are cool and Maxi has an endless, unstoppable combo.

If you're talking broken characters though, Kilik is horribly broken in every game he appears in. My brother mains him, which makes the fact that he can hit you from across the stage even worse.

i totally suck at figthing games and thats the reason i always avoid them(wich doesnt mean i hate them). even since today i cant really do a hadouken properly without throwing some punchs and/or jumps randomly.

i'd rather watch others play, most of the time i am more amazed by the moves some people can pull out of nowhere.

I don't like the street fighter (or other 2D fighters that aren't MvC) games as much as the 3D fighters like Tekken or SC because imo they're harder to play.

Also holding back to block is stupid.
