It's gotta be the emulator in that case. I'm using an Snes9x emulator for Mac OS in case you're wondering.

If you think your Mac can handle it, I'd suggest Higan (formerly known as BSNES). The guy who programmed it was pretty passionate when it came to the SNES. He took years to try to make it as accurate as it could be. You might need to change the game's file extension to sfc (for Super FamiCom) to use it. You could also look into ZSNES. I hope this helps fix your problem. On topic, I am wanting to try SCP Containment Breach now that it has hit version 1.0. I'm downloading the latest version of the game as I type this. I also take time to play Audiosurf 2 with the tracks I buy from itunes and get from Overclocked Remix. Thanked by: E-Man

It could also just be a bad ROM dump.
I had a lot of problems when I tried to emulate Earthbound, though. Things from the saves not actually saving to lock-ups and glitch graphics. Eventually decided that I wanted to play through the darn thing once and for all (I actually got pretty far with my cartridge copy before my SNES kicked it) and purchased the VC version. I think Earthbound is a big part of why I don't prefer homebrew emulation.

I picked up a rather odd game the other day. I got Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the Game Boy Color...
It's not really very fun, but there are so many awful jokes throughout the game that it is just barely playable enough to play. It was definitely worth the 4 dollars I spent for it. Thanked by: Kriven

Currently playing For the Frog the Bell Tolls with a English fan patch and i am thoroughly enjoying it, i could see prince Sable Being in Smash 5 as a playable character.

You mean the game that played like an RPG? I think I might have played it before. The part where Peeves the prankster curses Harry to have a cold all the the time was annoying.
Yes, that one.
It's not too bad though, I actually love the awful jokes, some of the character icons are laughably bad, and it feels oddly satisfying to collect the wizard cards. The only downside I find is the rpg system... It feels like I'm mindlessly spamming spells. I am near the beginning of the game so maybe it gets better later?

Hitman Absolution.
Fun game that can be the most annoying game at the same time. When I'm trying to dump a body into a locker but instead 47 juggles switching items across the room instead, or how South Dakota towns apparently still believe it's 1950. Small stuff can make this game incredibly frustrating, but it is a fun game, and at least it was free so eyeh.

I beat The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, so I'm trying to finish up Super Mario 3D World for 100% completion (my last run is being done with Luigi). I'm still playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf as well.

Started playing Jamestown, even though I've had it from a Humble Bundle way back in 2011. It's actually really really fun, I don't play many shmups and they've never looked like I'd enjoy them, maybe that's true with most but I'm definitely having a blast with this one. The story is interesting (steampunk 17th century Mars colonisation?!?), the art is great, the music is sweet and the gameplay is extremely enjoyable.
The campaign does look a tad short with only 6 levels, but there are also a multitude of bonus challenges, as well as gauntlet mode, higher difficulties, 4 very different ships, and up to 4-player single-computer co-op. The combo multiplier ("vaunt mode") also makes for an interesting and fun way to try get high scores. I can't believe it took me almost 3 years before I tried this. Thanked by: psychospacecow

I've been playing Payday 2, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, and Pokemon Y.
Today I've mainly played 3 of my alltime favourite games.
- Whizz (PC version) I never got to finish this game. But I did today. Only 8 or 9 levels. The footage is still rendering/converting (VirtualDub, neirest neighbour pixeling from ZMBV codec to another AVI file). Then I'm going to edit it and place each level seperately on my Youtube Channel. - Bolo Ball (PC) (v1.2) This is just plain awesome. There's a v2.2, but I still had the v1.2 on floppy disc so I grabbed it today. After practicing and losing against the CPU I beat my brother on a long game. After that I was confident enough to beat the CPU, and I did. This footage I'll convert on another batch, which will also air on my YT channel. - Krypton Egg (PC) (60 Levels version) Just found this game somewhere in an old folder in my hot-mail-box. All the Krypton Egg versions I found on the internet aren't working in DosBox, but this one did! I've played 20+ levels tonight and I considered this practicing. Soon I'll record this game for my YT channel. I still consider this the best Arkanoid (clone) game ever! Filled with fun pick-ups and bosses and bonusses! You can find the youtube channel here: Http://www.youtube.com/ClassicRetroG What a day, filled with nostalgia. Thanked by: psychospacecow

Did you figure it out how to work the controlls now? I'm now rendering the montages for the youtube channel. If you need help you can always watch my playthroughs . The only thing frustrating on this game is the timer. Sometimes you just can't make it out before the time runs out. So you don't really have time to explore places |
