Other viewers with true colours like vSNES (which uses ZSNES quicksaves) are not working. I also use translation patch v.7.0 from Romhacking. I emptied the contents of the translation patch into the same directory as the patched game, then loaded the ROM/cardridge into the emulator and after a few self-checks from the game I had to press reset within the emulator. Repeated that a few times and it finally showed the title screen. Finally, no more checks and the game starts and runs normally. Maps are ripped with screenshots (deactivated bg1 or bg2 layers with tools - effect toggle) and since the emulator cuts off the top/bottom tiles, I'm also using the tile map viewer within the debugger options (auto-update, magenta background). Path for this is Tools-Debugger-S-PPU-TilemapViewer RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-11-2024 NPCs, WIP Test rip from Seaweed Village. Some NPCs with uneven front / back have second sideview sprites instead of being mirrored. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Ton - 07-12-2024 Oooh. I love a good NPC rip. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-13-2024 Quicksaves from start to finish: https://mega.nz/file/0Zpl3Z4Q#5zR_x6H813hUFApjK8zw7Umf9fD1kBtTQGnpRnLp6WE 11,6 MB I've just finished the game and will now start ripping new sheets for it. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-14-2024 Complete NPC rip from Seaweed / Gold Dust / Gold Mine Village (except the old man in yellow and some dudes in the mine). RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-14-2024 WIP, I'll also do the rest of the entrances. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-16-2024 This is from the tile map viewer in bsnes-rawpalettes. For most maps, they're already assembled if the map is small enough. If it's a bigger map, you have to move in a certain way to have it shown assembled. And then you have these weird quartered maps which you have to assemble manually. Liquor Village is such a case, but it has these giant barrels which look really nice. As far as I can see, most villages have unique aspects in their tileset despite being very similar in all other aspects. The village tileset for TMZ is also one of the biggest I've ever seen, in case it's actually being all connected on a single tileset. Throughout the 6 nations, it all looks very similar, with other games like Tales of Phantasia or Star Ocean having clearly distinct interiors for different towns. These unique interiors also have way less assets which can be used, while TMZ is mostly interchangable, you can use every asset for every village room in the game. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-18-2024 The last gold mine section. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-19-2024 This sheet seems to be awfully small, therefore I'll rip the rest of the firebear nation: Refs: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/snes/581824-tengai-makyou-zero/faqs/77630/fire-bear-nation-bestiary#life-forest-enemies Btw these are not sprites but background objects. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-20-2024 Akamaru, Aomaru & Kimaru: The top row is background objects, the others are sprites. Whenever Akamaru uses a special, the bg object is erased and a sprite animation is played. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-21-2024 Also known as Shiranui. The sfx is a bunch of sprites, which explains the lag frames. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-21-2024 Except the Akamaru trio, all bosses have been ripped. There is also Manto in Crab-Crab Cavern, whose fight is currently inaccessible to me. Quote:Chestnut Curio: Get from the Chestnuttery in Open Market (only on Sundays).https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/snes/581824-tengai-makyou-zero/faqs/77630/plgs-personal-live-game-system If you don't have these items, Manto won't show up. What makes it so difficult is that the armor is only obtainable on three certain festivals: Quote: New Years Festival (January 1-14th)At one point I have to start a new game with certain dates to obtain the armor and fight the boss (or just wait until September). RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-22-2024 Gathering some NPCs from Canine Nation. Common NPCs don't have names, btw. RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Ton - 07-23-2024 These are looking amazing! RE: Tengai Makyou Zero / Far East of Eden Zero (SNES) - Barack Obama - 07-25-2024 Thanks, I also made screencaps for a vast part of the remaining npcs, but I haven't thrown them on the sheet yet. Blue Lake Village misses the harbor map and Flower Circle Village is kinda messy. There are also the 5 base towns for the shrines, Big Tiger Town and the two remaining villages in Takamagahara. Edit: Head Mt. Village was also missing a map. |
