Spirit Tracks Anjean
#46
Well, since nobody else wants to give an idea, (sorry if you just missed this), I'll get a start on Ralph...By the style that Moffet says fits better. But if anyone wants to comment, please do. I should have a fixed Ralph either later today, or late tomorrow....
EDIT: Fixed all the Ralph's I already had done...
*Note: I probably won't work on Ralph until I know that I have him right, that way I won't need to edit all of it....

Oh, and can anyone let me know how my Anjean is? It's near the bottom of page three in this thread....Thanks

Oh, sorry. I was very busy with school in the last few days.
However I tried to fix your Anjean a little bit:

I fixed the size, because the sprite was too big. Like this it would look odd if you put it in a MC screen.
Furthermore I used more shading. Especially I shaded her body and the thing she's driving.
Though I haven't fixed the wrong content of the sprite. First she looks too young and the colors of her face and her scarf should be more different, because in this size the colors fuse and the result looks odd (and she looks fat). Moreover you should fix her hands, because actually her arms are sleeved:

So you could use better colors and make her look older.

However the sprites look better than the old ones.
The Ralph sprites are awesome. Wink

Oh....I see....Now I get the whole shading on Anjean part. To make her look a bit older, I was thinking of putting the lines from her nose to her mouth area....I will try how that works...If you don't mind, can I use your Anjean as a model? I like the way you fixed it. The size definitely looks better. I actually had the colors for her sleeves dark, then the hands lighter...If that didn't work out, then it wasn't noticeable......Actually, all the colors I used came from that picture/artwork. I used that as a model....lol, thanks for the help!
Also, thanks for the criticism on Ralph! So if you saw on the other page, I had a different variety of sizes, color fixes, and hats....If you think any of those would fit, just say......But thanks overall!

Sure, you are allowed to use my edit.
I saw your different versions of Ralph and I totally agree with D.moffett1990.

ok......I'm working on Anjean now.....but, just to ask: Miragos, where do you post your sprites if you do? Because I see the Gerudo and Zoras on your signature, but I've never seen those before....lol....if you don't mind me asking.....;D
Ok...so I started Anjean remakes....how is this WIP so far?
EDIT: Ok...so you can see the side poses are still my old one....I was trying to fix them to look like the newer ones....as shown at the lower left corner....

I haven't released my custom NPCs yet. I only post my custom sprites on project sites of fangames I'm working on. I only will post sprites here if they aren't that good. So spriters can tell me what's wrong with them.

The facing down and facing up sprites are great, but you have to use a little bit darker yellow on her scarf. At the moment the scarf look like it was her chin. So you need more contrast between her face and scarf.

The facing left/right sprites shouldn't be bigger than the facing up/down sprites.
Furthermore her face is too small and her hair too big. The thing she's driving could be a little bit longer.

Oh.......I see...Yeah, I had doubts about the scarf. It didn't seem right, but I wasn't sure if it was or not. I might take a small break from MC stuff for a while....Because it's making my head spin....lol....I'm taking a try at the M&L3 style stuff....so take a look at that if you like.....Uh...but yeah..thanks a lot for all the tips for fixing the Anjean sprites!

Okay. M&L3 has a great style, too. However I think it's a little bit more difficult than MC style, but it's your decision. Furthermore it's a good idea to learn more than one spriting style.

And thank you for reminding me that there is a sequel to the M&L games. I totally forgot this. I have to buy it, because the prequel is one of my favorite games.

Anyway, good luck with spriting in M&L3 style. Wink

Eh....lol...I wish it was turning out good.....Not so much......I think MC style is a bit easier......I dunno....I just wanted to try M&L3 because so many people try it....I'll try to get back to MC style in a while....

I finished most of the forward poses. Or rather, the poses where he is letting his cape blow in the wind...I think. I tried to edit his hair to move, but I can't animate my sprites, so I have NO clue how it looks...Does anyone who might be able to animate sprites think they can animate Ralph for me? It would be much appreciated....Thanks.....I am going to start back poses and walking animations next, but I'm not sure when I'll have those......

I worked a bit more on Ralph. I tried to make walking sprites, and other views. I'm not entirely sure the other views are that good, but again, I am not sure. Sorry for multiple posts

OK, sorry about posting multiple times, but nobody has said anything, and I wanted to add something.
I tried to make Romani from Majora's Mask. I don't think many people will like this because it is a "minor edit" or something. But anyway, let me know what you guys think. I also have doubts about the bonus I added. I am not very sure that it fits the style.
I am a huge fan of Majora's Mask, and I have been dying to make some in MC style, so I tried. What do you guys think?
-Sorry about the picture being so big, and about multi-posting...

EDIT:
I started on Cremia
[Image: mcstyledcremia.png]
I have multiple ones, as I am not sure which ones to use. Kind of like the Ralph, I need help with the ones to use. EX: 2...2 would be the second color and pose. I have different hair/feet for most ones. I have the second hair because I didn't want her to look like Romani in a different costume or something....so if you could let me know how these are as well as Romani ^above^, that would be great...

hmmmm i like the ghost things but i think you sould see less of the robe seeing how mc style is more at a birds eye view then straight forward

hmmm I think the way Romani holds the bow is weird.
Actually she should hold the bow exactly in front of herself.

@Miragos:
If you look at the reference picture I used, Romani holds the bow next to her.
@D.Moffet1990:
So for the ghosts, (called "them" in the game...strange), you think I should make it further back a bit?
EDIT: Is this what you mean, Moffett?
The "ghosts" are kinda floating with their lower body hanging behind them. The back sprites are the way they are because that part of them hangs behind them, as I said. They look a bit like they are leaning forward.
EDIT: What do you guys think about the Ralph I most recently posted up? Oh, and the Cremia? Which Cremia looks the best?
If you need help with the Cremia, (like how she looks), Here is a picture of her:
