I think my problem with those green hills is the colors used. Granted, this is an NES palette, but surely brown doesn't have to be used rather than a dark green.
Come to think of it, aren't there far too many colors on the hills as it stands? The hill on the far right of the bottom row has five colors, not including transparency.

PS : The cloud item needs to be fixed.
Thanks!
PSS: The cloud item is in the unused/other box.

I think I'm finally done with this stage.
(It's meant to be a scrolling level.)
Nice overall, but let me point out a few things.
• Something ugly going on with koopa's nostrils.
• Fences look bad.
• Bushes aren't shaded.
• Cloud's Eyes are barely visible and the palette is not NESy enough.
• PLEASE consider changing back to the "unused" mushrooms.

What? How am I supposed to know what to fix?

What? Should I make it darker or something?

Its in the Unused/ OTHER box for reasons.
-You gotta explain whats wrong rather than just telling me it looks bad.

Double Post:
Okay, I want to start spriting the Menu/Character Select Screen today, but I don't know how big I want the screen of the game to be. Can anyone suggest a screen size? (It can surpass the NES Screen size, and would be recommended to because small screens suck.)

480x320 or 320x240 are both good resolutions.

Since the sprites are so small, I'd go with no larger than 320x240. Any larger than that, and you'd have to double-size the sprites to make it look proportionally correct.

What? Explain whats wrong with them. I can't really explain, they aren't placed well.

Make them actually look like they're made of wood.

Yes, that or more blue-ish.

Unfinished. (So I know I'm missing the Nintendo Logo and stuff.)
Well... Gameboys are 8-bit too.

They are, but they're in the wrong generation. However, a gbc 8-bit game would be able to include more characters...

If you're still not sure about screen size than i want to say that 320x240 is my favourite choice for games like this oh and nice Gameboys , i don't think i see anything wrong with them so far.
