@Ike:Thats good.
I decided to try my go at the Flamingos, this is what I came up with
I wanted to add a baby flamingo for its prevo, but forgot to draw it up, so this is all that I have.

why are the clouds wrapped so tightly around it? Clouds should be puffy, not like skinny jeans.

These are actually pretty cool, but the way I envisioned them was that they would be very tall, skinny, and lanky. Like how real flamingos are, but exaggerated a little for effect. Like very long necks with round heads on them (kind of like doduo but smaller heads) and legs that are barely a few pixels thick. Your drawings seem very squat to me. specially around the beak, they sort of look like they have toucan beaks.
I drew some of my versions real quick, but they're obviously in need of work. Also I have no idea how wings work when folded up against their bodies. Someone please help explain this. Also I'm not to sure about the male's angry eyebrows/feathers that i gave it. I wasn't going for "pisses off", so those are probably not going to stay in the design.

I do see what you mean, it does look good with them being all, lanky. I made a version that is a mixture of both of ours, along with a prevo, but I'll post that later on.

@Ike: Wow, that's cool! I like the fire on it's head. It's good without eyebrows.
@Wes: They're looking good too, but shouldn't the legs be just a bit thicker to be able to hold it's bodyweight?

2nd Stage of Water Starter
I feel like it's missing something, esp. on the head.
I want to give it a star motif, obviously from the Star-nosed Mole, but idk how. I want to save the "star-on-nose" thing for the 3rd stage.
Ike: i think it's the shading on the clouds that's making them look not puffy.

Replace the cheek circle design with a star shape. Those line sthat you have on that tail that sort of separate them into 3 sections? Make them zig-zags. Maybe give them star-patterns on their bellies, too (or knees and elbows or forehead). You don't have to put all of these suggestions (mix-and match to see what works), but if the final design is going to have a star motif going on, it should probably be introduced in the second stage (or maybe even the first, if we change the pattern on the cheek to a star, it would look less like an eye).

Well, I was thinking of some kind of water-only creature, since it seems this plan is currently lacking those.
I came up with a dinosaur-ish creature to possibly replace Lapras.
Here's a couple pieces of concept art I threw together:
